Adjust your email account � Thunderbird: IMAP
The instructions below can also be used for other versions of Thunderbird. The
instructions below are for setting up an IMAP email account in Thunderbird (v60.0).
1. Open the Thunderbird mail program on your computer/PC
2. Select first "Tools" then klick at "Account Settings"
3. You can now adjust the incoming mail server under "Server settings". It is
possible that you are currently using a different configuration. In this case, please
reset the settings as shown below.
1) Select "Server settings"
2) Server name: imap.hosting-ch.ch
Port: 993
3) User name: your e-mail
4) Connection security: SSL/TLS
5) Authentication method: normal password
After klick "Outgoing Server (SMTP)"
4. Open "Outgoing server"
5. Now click on outgoing server and then on the mail account to adjust the
outgoing mail server. It is possible that you are currently using a different
configuration.
1) Server name: smtp.hosting-ch.ch
2) Port: from 465 to 587
3) Connection security: STARTTLS
4) Authentication method: normal password
5) user name: your e-mail
6. Click on Ok. Restart Thunderbird to reload all settings. Adjustments are now
complete.
