William loved fish-ing, University of Kentuckyfootball and basketball andfollowing Boyle Countysports.

Kathleen SeitzingerWe celebrate the life of

Kathleen Seitzinger, 81,who passed away Feb. 21,2012, in her Danville home.

An Illinois resident formuch of her early life,Kathleen, a daughter ofOscar and EstherSiebrasse, grew up on herparents' farm in CarbonCliff where the familyraised corn and soybeansas well as Arabian horses.Professionally, Kathleen'sorganizational skills andquick mind were put togood use in her career asan executive legal secre-tary at John Deere & Co.'scorporate offices, whereshe worked for nearly 40years.

Following her retire-ment, she and her hus-band, the late C.W.Seitzinger, custom-builttheir "dream home" inDanville because they trulyenjoyed the friendly peopleand comfortable climate.

Locally, Kathleen was amember of Trinity Episco-pal Church and an activemember of the StreamlandClub and Boyle CountyHomemakers for morethan 20 years. She alsoserved as their treasurer fora time.

When not travelingaround the country tosightsee and visit relatives,Kathleen was an avidseamstress, expertly tailor-ing many of her own suits.She also loved to garden,and to create and gift hercolorful quilts and countedcross-stitch. Always up foran adventure, Kathleenlearned to ski in her early60s, and enjoyed visitingher New England relativesto practice this new skill.Animals were a constantcomfort in her life, fromthe Arabian horses shehelped raise to her beloveddogs. Kathleen will be re-membered for her gener-ous nature, her contagiouslaugh, her humility and herstrong faith.

She is survived by herbrother-in-law, GroverSeitzinger; sister-in-law,JoAnne Siebrasse; twonieces, Carol Royce andPamela Lester and her hus-band Garner; a nephew,Thomas Siebrasse and hiswife Diane; five great-nieces, Kimberly Neiditz-Lester, Dianna Lester,Melissa Lester, LaurelSiebrasse and AlisaSiebrasse. She was pre-ceded in death by herbrother, Richard Siebrasse,of Westport, Conn.

A graveside service willbe held at 11 a.m. Thursdayat Camp Nelson NationalCemetery, with the Rev.Amy Meaux officiating.

Robert Tandy Violette Jr.,84, died Sunday.

Born June 10, 1927, inLexington, he was the sonof the late Maude LouiseWilson Violette and RobertTandy Violette Sr.

Bob graduated fromHenry Clay High School in1945 and University ofKentucky in 1952. He wasactive in the Boy Scouts ofAmerica and received hispilot’s license at age 16. Hewas a geologist for Stano-lind Oil and Gas, later BPAmoco. He served in theU.S. Army as a medicalcorpsman during WorldWar II.

Bob is survived by hiswife, Marilyn Rose Wheel-don “Punch” Violette; a son,Jeff (Jayne) Violette of Lex-ington; a daughter, Lyn Vio-lette (Daniel) ompson ofColorado; a sister, JuanitaMarie Violette “Peachie”Fergus of Lexington; fourgrandchildren, Ashleighompson (Andrew) Klaus-ner, Lucas Randall omp-son, Christopher Danielompson and Alexis AnnViolette; and a great-grand-child, Cooper Scott Klaus-ner.
