Methodology1. Identify the Components of a

digital object that an evaluator wishes to maintain.

2. Analyse the properties of each Component that are required or beneficial for its recreation.

3. Classify the function performed by each property and assess its value.

4. Obtain measurements for each property

Task: AudioFor the examples on the worksheet:

1. Categorise each property in one of the 5 categories (content, context, rendering, behaviour, structure) according to its function

2. Assign a score from 0 – 10 & justify it in the rationale

3. Open the sample file in Microsoft Sound Recorder (Accessories/Entertainment in the Start Menu) and record the values stored for each property

4. Are there any other aspects of the audio file that you need to record?
