Transition to High School
• High school is the final transition to adulthood. The next stop is post-secondary education, the military, or a job.
• It goes by fast.

Principal Highlights
• Come to School– 10 Day Rule
• You can call your child off school 10 days. After that, must have a doctors note or an excusal from the administration.
• Grades– Freshman grades count the same as senior grades.– Math – 70%-80% of the grade comes from tests and quizzes.
• Teacher Request– JCHS can’t take specific teacher request.
• Lunch Period Request
– Again, JCHS can’t take request.• PSAT Testing

School Physical Form
A freshman student must have the following to enroll at JCHS:1. A school physical form signed by a physician (must
include a diabetes screening); and2. A shot record documenting diphtheria and tetanus
shots (if needed); and3. A completed health history; and4. Proof of clearance (checking the appropriate
box), documented by a physician, that clears a student to participate in sports and physical education.

A student will be placed in Driver’s
Education based on the following
