MERCAT NOU STATION

CONSTRUCTION PROJECT AND CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENTTECHNICAL ASSISTANCE Barcelona, 2008

The project is part of a global action,between Santa Eulàlia Station and SantsStation, that comprises theestablishment of the High Speed Lineand the covering of the train and subwaylines.

It includes the definition of all thenecessary work for the remodeling of theMercat Nou Station on subway line 1 ofthe Ferrocarril Metropolità of Barcelona.

A new access hall and the covering ofthe tracks at the station are alsoincluded. The chosen solution iscompletely adapted for people withreduced mobility and modifies therunning scheme of the station, goingfrom two lateral platforms to a centralsingle one.
