STRATEGIC PLAN
In 2012, Youth, I.N.C. approved a three year strategic plan. The
organization collected feedback from the executive directors of its
nonprofit partners and conducted research on the New York City, youth-
serving community to inform its strategic vision and improve program
offerings. Working with the Board of Directors, staff, and partner
nonprofits, Youth, I.N.C. identified several planning imperatives to both
increase the number of nonprofits in its Partner Network and to deepen
existing relationships with current partners.
The Future of Youth, I.N.C.
“ Youth, I.N.C. has changed over time and likewise, our strategic plan should continue to change to deal with shifting resources and to address our constituents’ evolving needs. This strategic plan is extremely comprehensive and reflects the Board’s deep involvement and efforts.”
JOHN L. THOMSON YOUTH, I.N.C. BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Harvard Business School PartnershipStemming from a 2012 project with Harvard Business School, the Metrics Program was created to help our partners not only track and quantify their impact, but also find compelling ways to tell the story behind these numbers.
Youth, I.N.C.’s pilot Metrics Program was instituted in 2012 with five
nonprofit participants and launched in 2013 with three groups. The Metrics
Program, coupled with a new Strategic Planning Program piloting in 2015,
will allow Youth, I.N.C. to achieve deeper and more sustained involvement
with current nonprofit partners, while simultaneously allowing the
organization to appeal to a new segment of its target market.
“ Youth, I.N.C.’s work leads to the rapid improvement of the social performance of organizations in its Partner Network. Conducting thorough due diligence, Youth, I.N.C. selects deserving nonprofits and helps its partners to improve their management capabilities via metrics and performance management.”
