2020 PILOT BUTTE RODEO
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the public health measures put into place by the Province of Saskatchewan, the Pilot Butte Rodeo will not be held June 19 to 21, 2020 as originally scheduled.
The Rodeo Committee and Town Officials are meeting soon to determine if the event could be rescheduled for later this fall.
Check out the Town of Pilot Butte webpage at http://www.pilotbutte.ca/p/rodeo for further updates after May 31, 2020.
Thank You’s from the Beautification Committee
The Pilot Butte Beautification Committee would like to thank Aron Strogal for volunteering to paint the Hillside Park sign. Aron, you’ve done a beautiful job! Thank you for sharing your talents with your community. The Pilot Butte Beautification Committee would like to extend our gratitude to the residents of Pilot Butte and surrounding area for participating so enthusiastically in the community clean up. The refuse, compostable material and metal
recycling bins were very well attended. Thank you also to the Town for allowing the bins to arrive, for monitoring the bins and arranging for their replacement when full. The funds raised from the recycled metal will be set aside for future Beautification projects.
Enjoy your outdoor spaces as the weather continues to improve. We’re rejuvenating the Inland Park flowerbed at the Rec Centre; wander down and take a look. Soon the flowers will be planted in an effort to beautify Pilot Butte.
If you’d like to join our committee or participate in any of our future projects/events please contact us by email: [email protected] or through our Facebook page: Beautify Pilot Butte
Happy 70th Birthday Grant Veitch
Grant and Debbie Veitch moved to Pilot Butte in 1977 where they raised their family. Grant is a retired RCMP officer and a retired Captain with the Pilot Butte Volunteer Fire Department. Grant has been very active in the Pilot Butte community and every year he can be found at the entry gates of the PB Rodeo. He loves watching his
grandchildren play sports in PB and the neighboring community. He attends many hockey, ringette and soccer games and volunteers to take his grandchildren to games and tournaments. He loves rink life as much as they do! Grant enjoys hunting, riding his motorcycle, snowmobiling, camping and spending time with his family. He adores his family just as much as they adore him!!
Grant is often out and about in the community and enjoys his daily walks around town. If you see Grant please wish him a Happy 70th Birthday!

Greenall Griffins Take Learning Home
Avanti, our yearbook club, challenged families
to upload photos of their students learning at
home during Supplemental Learning. We
offered a free yearbook as a prize, won by the
Galysa family.
We received some really excellent photos, and
the group is diligently working to document this
historic school year, as it has been
experienced by our school community. If you’d
like to add photos of your Greenall students,
please email them to [email protected]. All
yearbooks need to be paid for by June 5, 2020,
so please email [email protected] to
inquire if you still need to purchase.
Since moving to supplemental online learning
due to Covid-19, the Greenall High School
SLC has continued to meet weekly, working
on planning events that enrich the lives of our
students and community. To date, we have
organized a Quarantine Bingo for our
Greenall students and for the grade 8
students at our associate schools, and a
“Guess the Home Office” campaign on our
school Instagram account stories. In the
works for the future is a Tik Tok challenge for
staff, students and community to duet the
Griffin, other grade 8 transition activities and
a fall school clothing order.
The SLC also recently teamed up with the
community to raise money for the Regina
Food Bank during these times of uncertainty.
A GoFundMe page was created with the
original goal of raising $500. The community
did a fantastic job and blew us away, with
getting a total of $1,300 in donations! We are
so proud of our Griffin family and want to say
thank you to everyone who donated! We
appreciate everyone’s participation and can’t
wait to see you face to face in real life soon!
Masses have been cancelled until further notice. Please check out the website for updates and current church information at https://stjosephstagnes.ca/ You can also check out our Facebook page @ St. Agnes Church-Pilot Butte

It has come to the attention of the News and viewS that a wonderful lady who cut hair for many years here in Pilot Butte, has closed permanently due to COVID-19.
Thank you to Gail Ludtke (formerly Country Class) for all the work you did to make us look beautiful and/or handsome! It was very easy on most, not so
much on others (lol!) - the writer’s words
not hers at all! Take Care Gail and thanks for everything! KB and many others I am sure!
