• 2017 Summer Camp Season • June 12th – August 4th
• Anticipate serving nearly 4000 campers • 74 Locations
• 12 CDBG Sites o 4 Recreation Centers / 20 DISD Sites
• 41 Recreation Centers • 19 Send A Kid to Camp Sites(SAKTC) • 9 Teen Camp Locations • 3 Pilot Senior Camp Locations
• Tiered Fee Structure • Scholarships
Summer Staff
Recreation Services has hired and trained 86 seasonal employees to lead our 8 week summer camp program.
• Staff will receive certifications in: CPR / First Aid / AED • Training topics will cover:
• City Policies / Procedures • Performance Expectations • Interactive Games & Activities • Food Handling

Campers will be actively engaged in hands-on minds-on activities through which they realize the application and relevance of their STREAM camp experience.

DPR will offer Teen Camps at 9 locations City-Wide. Teen Camps are designed for youth age 13-15. Field Trips Include • Amusement Parks • Arbor Hill Preserve • Bahama Beach • River Ranch Horse Park • Rough Riders Baseball Game • Teen Tech Center
Senior Summer Camp

• Ages 55 and up • Registration May 30th – June 14th • 8 week camp • Offered at 3 Pilot Locations
