PROGRAM
At Centercourt Athletic Club of Chatham, our instructional programs are based on a unique developmental pathway. Our programs follow many steps which help players build on a solid tennis foundation and succeed in an effective and efficient manner. The skills, drills and thrills of doubles are featured in a dynamic play action format. Experience our tactical and technical approach to aggressive percentage doubles. Our clinics are a great way to get introduced to the fundamentals, to refine your existing strokes and to add new shots to your game. Clinics are offered for players with a rating from 2.0-4.0 and are a great opportunity to focus on the offense/defense aspect of doubles, buld solid technique and to learn new skills to take your game to the next level.

Fast Start (1.6-2.0): These clinics are geared toward the person just starting the game of tennis. We create a positive learning environment with fun and innovative games and drills that focus on movement, coordination, balance, and
racket skills. This program is emphasized to get players rallying quickly and learning to enjoy the game. Focus is on groundstrokes, serve and return of serve, volleys, lobs and overheads. Score keeping and basic singles and doubles
strategy will be introduced.
Advanced Beginner (2.1-2.5): These clinics are feature an energetic drill and game based environment for the player that has basic serve and rally skills. This program features continued stroke development
and refinement for forehand and backhand groundstrokes, serve and return of serve, volleys, lobs, and overheads. Emphasis will be to develop consistency through improving balance, footwork, racket technique
and tactical decision making.
Lower Intermediate (2.6-3.0): These clinics feature and energetic frill and game based environment for the player that has dependable serve and rally skills. This program features continued stroke
development and refinement for overhand and backhand groundstrokes, serve and return of serve, volleys, lobs, and overheads. The use of spin, repetitive and tactical drills and competitive situations
will be introduced.
Intermediate (3.1-3.5): A fast paced drill and game based approach for players that can serve and rally consistently. The program’s emphasis will be stroke production, improving the fundamentals and a better understanding of strategy. Players will work on developing
better stroke skills including spin serves, topspin and slice shots, drop shots and offensive overheads along with modern footwork and match play tactics for doubles.
Advance Intermediate (3.6-4.0): A high intensity clinic for the player that has begun to vary their playing by adding power and spin. This player has above average
consistency with groundstrokes, serves & volleys, and sound footwork with good court coverage. This program will focus on different playing patterns and styles,
high-end concepts and strategy all within point play situations.
Fast Start Tennis (1.6 – 2.0)
Fast Start is specifically designed for players new to the game. This program provides a comprehensive and focused emphasis on teaching the basic stroke fundamentals in a fun and controlled environment.

Cardio Tennis is a high-energy fitness activity that combines the best features of the sport of tennis with cardiovascular exercise. It is the ultimate, full body, calorie burning aerobic workout and a social, fun class for players of all ability levels.

TRX Cardio Tennis combines suspension training with live ball cardio tennis games and drills. Stationary bikes and rowing machines are also incorporated into the training session. The workout focuses on both endurance and strength components. A fun, full body, calorie burning group fitness class on the tennis court.

USTA League Costs
All participants in our USTA leagues must be registered USTA members and pay the yearly USTA membership ($44) and team dues($22) are a requirement to be an eligible participant. These fees are paid directly through the USTA website.
• Member practice cost is $15 per practice. Match cost are complimentary. (non-member costs are $35 per practice and $35 per match)
• Weekly practice day and time are subject to change based upon season, team and USTA league.
Mixed Doubles
• Mixed doubles leagues are made up of teams comprised of partners with combined ratings starting at a 6.0 level and continuing through a 9.0 level
• Season will run from February - April
