2015 TRUJILLO RESERVE CABERNET SAUVIGNON GARY MORISOLI VINEYARD

Vintage Notes he Gary Morisoli vineyard has consistently produced amazing Cabernet worthy of a Reserve bottling. This Rutherford Bench vineyard site delivers top tier Cabernet year after year. This 2015 vintage is no exception. The only drawback is that the grape yields in 2015 were extremely light. Because of these light yields, I only bottled two barrels of this amazing Gary Morisoli Reserve in the 2015 vintage.

Our 2015 Gary Morisoli Reserve is showing more fruit forwardness this vintage. The lush aromas of black cherry, blackberry and currant jump forward in abundance. Dark chocolate with spicy notes of cinnamon and cedar come forth lending to the forward fruit bouquet of this cabernet. Hints of earthy, dusty cherry give this wine the Rutherford Bench signature characters.

The rich silky flavors fall in perfectly to compliment the aromatics. A

nicely balanced mix of dark fruits, cherry flavors along with hints of cedar and cola all flow with perfect fineness. Bold, full and complex, yet not a wine that is overly tannic. This wine expresses complexity over power in this vintage.

Quite youthful and somewhat elusive upon its release, the 2015 Gary

Morisoli Reserve will defiantly develop with grace over time. A wine that can be enjoyed now with proper decanting and/or over the next decade with cellaring. Enjoy!
