Tracer SC™ Operation
In the Tracer SC™ Operation course, students learn to operate and modify an installed Tracer SC™ system. This highly interactive course includes presentations and hands-on workshops where students practice using the software applications integral to a Tracer SC™ building management system.
At the end of this course students are able to:
Monitor and control building mechanical systems
Respond to alarm conditions
Create custom alarms
Generate reports and data logs
Create custom time-of-day schedules
Learn how time-of-day, area, and variable air system applications work together to control your air side systems.
Respond to hot and cold calls
Utilize contract documentation to identify control component locations.

Tracer SC™ Air Systems Students will use a typical Trane project, including standard Trane control drawings and typical mechanical prints, and have the opportunity to carry out the tasks necessary to configure, troubleshoot and maintain an HVAC air system.
At the end of this course students are able to:
Install and configure a Tracer SC
Install, configure and control LonTalk devices on a Tracer SC VAV link
Install, configure and control BACnet devices on a Tracer SC VAV link
Identify the major components and functions of constant volume and VAV air systems
Assess the appropriate locations and application of different types of VAV boxes

Tracer SC™ Central Plant Control
A typical central plant project, including standard Trane control drawings and typical mechanical prints, provides students the opportunity to carry out the task necessary to configure, troubleshoot and maintain a central plant. Programs will be written to control chilled water, condenser water and hot water systems within the plant.
At the end of this course students are able to:
Identify the major components and functions of a central plant.
Assess the appropriate location and application of valves and sensors.
Apply the Tracer SC Chiller Plant Control application.
Integrate TGP2 with CPC for ice making, tower optimization, cooling tower control, pump sequencing and boiler control.

Tracer ES Operation Tracer ES Operation is specifically designed for building operators and administrators to become more efficient with their Tracer ES software (a web-enabled service and monitoring tool for multiple building facilities). Tracer ES allows building operators and administrators access from the local network or the internet to monitor and control their building system. Tracer Graphical Programming 2 (TGP2) Advanced Applications***
The TGP2 Advanced Applications course provides participants with the ability to create and implement custom configurations and programs in the Trane’s Tracer BACnet devices. Course scope includes device configuration, TGP2 program creation, and TGP2 Library usage for the Tracer SC, Tracer UC400. (Other devices will be supported as they are released, i.e. Tracer UC600). The class includes hands-on workshops so students can learn best practices, create, test and debug their programs under the supervision of experienced programmers.
At the end of this course, students are able to:
Identify the need for a TGP2 program
Convert a TGP program to a TGP2 program
Create point configurations from a job submittal
Identify appropriate TGP2 blocks for programming functions
Create TGP2 programs from a sequence of operation for Tracer UC products
Locate and use Standard Library TGP2 and Pre-Packaged Solutions configurations and programs
Implement TGP2 for custom applications such as air handler, boiler and pump controls
Implement TGP2 programming in Tracer SC

Air Conditioning Clinic The Air Conditioning Clinic is a comprehensive battery of 12 classes designed to give an overview of the entire HVAC industry. Each class deals with a specific area of the many
disciplines required to successfully design, install and service comfort providing equipment.

This course is designed for the newly employed designer/engineer, the servicing technician, and the building operator trying to better understand their systems and also provides a good review for the more experienced student.
Upon completion of the course, the student will have a basic understanding of the various equipment and systems used in providing comfort cooling today, and be able to identify the various components. In addition, basic troubleshooting skills will be enhanced through a better understanding of the manner in which the components relate to each other in a system.
