Operation Purple Camps.

Operation Purple Camp applications are being accepted now. These
are free summer camps for qualifying military dependents. There are 2
camps available in NY State, Camp Wabasso locally from July 29,
2012 - August 3, 2012 and Pioneer Camp from July 8, 2012 - July 13,
2012 in Western NY. There are also camps available in other areas of
the country as well. To find out more about the camps, the

“Soldier’s Song’ marches onward and outward The production of “Soldier’s Song,” an Easter tradition in the city,
has marched out of its home base for the first time this year.
Faith Fellowship Church, Moore Avenue, first presented the musical
drama in 1980 and has repeated it every two or three years since then.
The last time it was staged was in 2008. All productions were at the
church, which is the former Thompson School. This year the six-act
play will be in the Dulles State Office Building, 317 Washington St.

with all proceeds to benefit services to victims of violence and crime in Jefferson County.

Symphony Syracuse will present an all-Mozart concert at 8 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 227 Sherman St.
The concert will open with Mozart's popular “Eine Kleine Nachtmusik” (A Little Night Music) and will conclude
with his Symphony No. 40. Daniel Hege will conduct. Tickets are $20 general admission, $17 for seniors and
military, and $10 for students. Tickets are available in advance of the concert at the Greater Watertown Chamber of
Commerce, 1241 Coffeen St., and at the door on the evening of the performance. The concert is sponsored by the
Northern New York Community Foundation.
