The Assistant Secretary presented various matters of business which
Were considered by the Executive Committee and acted upon as follows:
Letter dated February 11th from the Secretary of the Federal Re-
Serve Bank of New York, and telegrams dated February 11th from the Chairman
of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, and February 12th from the Chairman
c/f the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, all advising that at the regu-
lar meetings of their boards of directors on the dates stated no changes
Were made in the banks' existing schedules of rates of discount and pur-
chase.
Without objection, noted withapproval.
Letter dated February 11th from the Chairman of the Federal Reserve
Bank of Boston, advising of the appointment on that date of Mr. Carl B.
Manager of the discount department, as Assistant Cashier of the
bailk for the year ending December 31, 1031, no change to be made in his

liabilities of the First National Bank of Birmingham, Pittsburgh; the Board's
Committee also recommending approval.
