Competitive Edge: Stand-Out Exhibit Report NSBA 2018 1
14 Standout Exhibit Ideas Selected
by the E3 Exhibiting Effectiveness Evaluation Team By Jefferson Davis and Betsy Earle
As a value-added exhibitor service, NSBA provided new exhibiting companies with the TSE Gold 100 award winning E3 Exhibiting Effectiveness Evaluation.
While conducting evaluations, we looked for exhibits throughout the show that displayed imaginative, creative, and effective ideas and practices. We want to congratulate exhibitors featured and hope all exhibitors look to
these ideas as examples of how to make your exhibit even more effective.
Note: The ideas are presented in no particular order and are not ranked good, better, best. They only represent a sampling of effective exhibiting practices observed at NSBA 2018. Enjoy!

ISSA
A great infographic in the ISSA exhibit broke
down very specific statistics about the danger
of germs and the necessity of effective
cleanliness. The way the information was
presented made attendees want to keep
reading. The pull-up banner was effective in
telling attendees exactly what dangers might
be encountered, and how to mitigate them.

Mindfulness Practices
What better way to demonstrate mindfulness to visitors than asking them to perform a yoga pose?
Mindfulness Practices offered a free pen to any visitor walking by that performed a yoga "tree
pose". This was a great way to get people to laugh and have fun, and educate at the same time.

Brock
Brock brought an actual running faucet to show the strength and durability of their turf. They took
what could have otherwise been a boring, static display, and brought it to life. They continued this
motif by using their turf as flooring, and communicating examples of their products used at various
venues on a large flat screen monitor. These messages tipped the playing field in their direction.
