1512 Reporting Outreach
• In September, FTA held four webinars on Section 1512 reporting requirements. Approximately 600 grantees participated.
• On October 1, FTA staff began the Section 1512 customer service outreach effort for grantees. An e-mail address ([email protected]) and a 1-800 number (800.884.9190) was staffed by FTA volunteers from 8 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. on October 1-8 and 8 a.m. – midnight on October 9-10.
• On October 5, FTA hosted an ARRA Workshop at the APTA Annual Meeting in Orlando, Florida.

1512 Reporting Details
- At the end of the reporting period, over 96% of the reports that were supposed to be submitted to FTA were submitted through FederalReporting.gov.
- Agency staff reviewed 682 reports from grant recipients and flagged 492 (or 72%) of these reports as potentially having material omissions or significant reporting errors. Grant recipients reviewed and resubmitted correct data for the majority of these reports.
- On October 30, FTA submitted to OMB its 1512 reports with potential significant errors. The list included 7 grants mistakenly coded as contracts, 9 duplicate or erroneously filed reports, and 36 reports with potential errors in reporting of jobs and/or expenditures.
- Also on October 30, 1512 reports were posted on www.recovery.gov.

Post-Reporting Review and Outreach
- FTA conducted post-evaluations of its Section 1512 and Section 1201 reporting process.
- FTA published the Section 1201c and 1512 reporting data on its public website, www.fta.dot.gov.
- On November 12, FTA staff participated in a roundtable for Federal Agencies on the 1512 reporting process sponsored by the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB). FTA provided feedback to OMB on its experience with the Section 1512 reporting process.
- On November 20, FTA held an “After Action Webinar” on 1201c and 1512 reporting for FTA ARRA grant recipients to obtain feedback on the reporting processes. Over 200 individuals participated. The main issues dealt with jobs reporting, expenditures reporting, and FRPIN numbers.
