• What is an eLearning plan? – A complete document that supports
the annual School Implementation Plan (AIP) which stems from School Strategic Plan (SSP).
You should choose to create one because:
– ICT is a large financial investment– eLearning can be a catalyst for
School Transformation– ICT is part of 21st Century Learning

ICT Professional Learning: developing teacher skills to use the software and online tools as part of the reading project
Learning Places and Spaces: establishing a computer based ‘listen and talk’ space able to be accessed by every class for the project
Learning Communities: setting up a ‘presentation’ space and end-of-term times for parents to view their child’s completed project

your Strategic Plan. Review your School Profile and Values from your Strategic Plan to help form a basis.
• Ensure that your eLearning vision is a clear and succinct statement that is easily understood.
• Ideally it needs to be shared and owned by all of the members of your School Community, including teachers, students and parents
• How will learning and teaching have changed and how will ICT support this change?

A well managed and maintained school IT infrastructure is essential to support successful eLearning however ICT infrastructure and technical support underpins a school’s vision, it is not meant to drive it.

• Existing infrastructure needs to be either maintained, replaced, rolled over or decommissioned
• Integrating new and old infrastructure may require an IT Audit..there are department tools to help with this
• Students and teachers routinely collaborate, build and share knowledge using digital technologies – blogs, file sharing, social networking, video conferencing etc
• Parents able to view student programs and progress at any time online and communicate with teachers and school leaders.
