Warhammer FRP Character Spreadsheet V1.01

Notes:Until recently there have been no WFRP-Charakter Spreadsheets, so I decided to make one of my own. This is the result, which, while not perfect, works for me. It's not too strong on checks and enforcing rules, although I put a few basic checks into it. The Entry-Section needs a bit getting used to, since you work career by career in regard to skills and talents, but you improve your stats in the overall-stat block at the top of the career section. There is also no handling of priests or wizards belief/college specific skills, although one could add them as special talent/skills. However, those are calculated with 200 xp apiece instead of 100 xp apiece.If you look at the sheet, you will also notice a few non-official careers and that the prices are off. That's because I added some careers available on the net, among them Leonpoi's* (Simon Sullivan) careers for non-militant priests and some from BI-Fanmaterial section (by Andy Law aka Hapimeses* I believe)). I'm also using DagobahDaves* Weapon-(quality) charts and the alternate Equipment pricing found here http://www.diggory.me.uk/Equipment Tables.pdf, although I added studded and scale armour back (and disagree that they're rubbish :)). For those of you having other needs, I left the Equipment sheet visible and put some advice there.
In the Grimoire Section you'll also find non-official spells, particular Leonpoi's* (Simon Sullivan) Stromfels spells. If you are purist, it is fairly easy to remove those changes from the datasheets (which are currently set non-visible), except maybe for the equipment stuff (but that can be done too with a bit of typing).
The layout of the printsheets (as well as the graphics on the main print sheet) uses the work of Mad Irishman (Patrick M. Murphy, http://www.unc.edu/~murphy/mad_irishman/) and is based on his WFRP2 Character Sheet.Due to this inclusion, this spreadsheet falls under the Creative Commons Deed (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/2.5/)
Of course you're free to use this spreadsheet for private use. It was there, so I share, just like I profited from so many similiar works of fellow RPers. Just don't expect me to correct any errors on demand :). This sheet is provided as is, though feedback is still welcome as long as it is constructive. If you want to change things yourself, the sheet is not protected. You will notice the boxes to the right in the career section, named Career Information. In my private version it contained the appropriate textual information, but I erased it for obvious reasons in the Web-Version. It's easy enough to put back in if you have the book(s). It's on the Careers worksheet, columns skill requirements, talent requirements and trappings (surprise).
One more thing, unless you want to do dice-rolling for the profiles, you don't need to have macros activated. The sheet should work fine without them. Just in case you worry.

In regards to printing, you might have to juggle the page layout a bit, depending on your printer. It is supposed to print on 4 pages and I left some room between those pages, so various printers can be served. As the AltPrint Sheet isn't bound to images it should scale better.

Export writes all those fields which are filled (including selections from lists) into a text file, named after the character (i.e. if the character name is Hugo, the file will be Hugo.txt) in the same directory as the form. Import does just the reverse, it reads a character from the text-file, filling all the values as they were before. The filename will be taken from the character name field, so make sure you enter the character name there first. If no character name is entered, the file is named character.txt as default.A few remarks on this. The filling of fields is position bound, meaning if you insert lines in the Master Sheet or Grimoire Sheet re-importing a character will not work as supposed. Other sheets may be modified (f.e. careers added and so on). The use of these functions is two-fold. First, you don't need to re-enter your characters from hand when a new sheet with fixes appears (or you fix some stuff yourself). Second, if you want to exchange characters with friends by email and you both have this Version, you only need to transmit the textfile (about 50k in size) and re-import it into the empty form. Voilá. Exporting and especially importing a character takes a bit time, so don't get impatient. Last, don't remove the hidden sheet "Transfer" even if it seems empty. It is used for importing and exporting.* All Button functionality requires Makros to be enabled

Advice on modifying the Equipment lists:1) If you prefer the basic quality rules, simply adjust the Qualities column of the weapon table by deleting the extra qualities. For Best weapons simply put the string "+5% WS" there instead. Unfortunately there's no way to factor this modifier into the profile, as it is by weapon and not an overall modifier.2) Some encumberance values might be off. Simply adjust them according to your needs in the ENC column. Weapons have ENC values for each quality level. Other items use the normal quality progression for modifying ENC and use only one base value.3) Do not modify the column Type, it is needed for calculations. M = Melee weapon R = Ranged weapon F = Firearm4) The Damage column shows the modifier to SB for M Type weapons and the final damage bonus for R and F Type weapons. So if you want to have a melee weapon do SB instead of SB+1 damage put a 0 instead of a 1 into the column. If you want to have a R or F weapon damage 3 instead of 4 put a 3 instead of the 4 into the column.5) Only edit in the colored areas. If you add additional weapons take care not to disrupt the lists to the right of this box by adding full lines.

1) If you prefer the basic quality rules, simply adjust the Qualities column of the weapon table by deleting the extra qualities. For Best weapons simply put the string "+5% WS" there instead. Unfortunately there's no way to factor this modifier into the profile, as it is
2) Some encumberance values might be off. Simply adjust them according to your needs in the ENC column. Weapons have ENC values for each quality level. Other items use the normal quality progression for modifying ENC and use only one base value.3) Do not modify the column Type, it is needed for calculations.
4) The Damage column shows the modifier to SB for M Type weapons and the final damage bonus for R and F Type weapons. So if you want to have a melee weapon do SB instead of SB+1 damage put a 0 instead of a 1 into the column. If you want to have a R or F weapon damage 3 instead of 4 put a 3 instead of the 4 into the column.5) Only edit in the colored areas.
