Summary Of ResponsibilitiesMy main responsibility as Project Manager was to plan for, assign and oversee both new and maintenance projects on national level for the South African Revenue Service (Client/Server section). I had four project leaders reporting directly to me.
As Project Leader I was responsible for planning and overseeing development and maintenance work assigned to my team in the Client/Server section. I headed a team of up to 8 people, which include Analyst Programmers and Systems Analysts.
Our team was responsible for the Y2K maintenance on 15 systems and all our systems entered the year 2000 without any problems being reported.
I was also either managing or were involved with the following projects: SARS Bulk Data Capture System SARSBank version 1 (cash-office system) – included maintenance on the MS Access version
of the system and managing the conversion of the system to SQL Server SARSBank version 2 planning SARS Contract Management System SARS Coding Standards project
As Analyst Programmers my responsibilities were to provide analysis and programming support to development teams at SARS.
