עשיר איזהובחלקו השמח

If someone offered you 1 million dollars for both of your eyes
(and you’d be blind for the rest of your
life) … would you do it?
That means you are walking around every day with something worth more
than 1 million dollars!
If not, then think about this:
And what about everything else you have?
Your earsYour arms
Your mouth
Your ability to think Your health
Your friends Your parents
Your legs
Your ability to play
Your ability to communicateYour siblings
Your freedom
Your relatives

One beautiful summer day, the sun was shining and there was not a cloud in the sky. A family decides to go on a picnic.
It was a perfect day . . .
They unpack the picnic basket and take out the red and white checkered blanket. Then they take out the delicious food: fruits, breads, meats…
But wait . . . Where is the ketchup?They forgot to pack it.The food won’t taste as good without it.
The picnic is ruined.The family pack up and head home.
Of course!
This is crazy – right?
Each morning we wake up;
But this is what WE do every day.
Hashem has given us back our souls;
We can breathe, move, think and feel;
We have shelter and food;
We have family and friends.
- We don’t have the latest cell phone
But we spend so much time complaining
about what we don’t have
- We don’t have our own bedroom
- We don’t have the knapsack thatwe really wanted
We complainabout the ketchup
Instead we should be appreciating
all that we have
