All for the glory of
As always, we want to
thank you for your
faithful prayers and
support to this ministry.
For all of you that have
sent cards and gifts,
thank you! It is a very
great encouragement to
know you are behind
us. We have learned
how important it is to
us to hear from folks
that care about us.
We are thankful for the
little baby girl that the
good Lord has given us.
Kristina was born Feb.
17 and was just under
6 lbs. and 49 cm long.
We had been told by
the doctors that she
had one kidney as they
pointed it out to us at
two different time. We
continued to pray that
she would be a healthy
baby. Well, because of
prayer, the Lord saw fit
to grow the second kid-
ney in before she was
born and she came into
the world very healthy
and beautiful. We are
so happy for this won-
derful gift the Lord has
given us. Here are
some pictures….

Dear friends, thank you very much for the English-Russian Bible that Jon gave me. I am happy to have
an opportunity to read the Bible in two languages. It helps me to improve my English. I also can study
the Bible deeper using another language. It is useful to my spiritual growth. I am a Bible teacher to or-
phans in St. Petersburg so it’s important for me to know the Bible and God to share with kids. I also
have some ministries in my church where I take active part. These are Sunday school, youth group and
Bible class. I have a great zeal to share my faith and knowledge of God. Thank you so much for this
wonderful gift. God bless you! Your sister in Christ—Tanya
Dear friends—thank you for your great work in spreading the word of God. I am happy that I can have
the parallel Bible. For me, as I study English, it is great blessing to read the scripture in two languages.
The comparison of translation and deeper study helps me in my growth.
Respectfully yours
Alexander Kurmaev—Pastor of Comfort Baptist Church

The delivery went very well for Larysa and the baby. Because Kristina was born
a little small, the doctors wanted to keep her and Larysa in the hospital for a
couple weeks. It was a little hard for Larysa because of the conditions, but over
all we are pleased at how it all came out. The hospitals hardly feel the patience
and thus the patience rely of family or friends to bring them food from home. I
feel sorry for the ones that were there alone and had no one to help them. We
helped them a little but, but it still is hard form some of the ladies. It sure is nice
to have loving family and friends. The picture on the left is the day finally mama
and baby girl get to go home. It was a blessing to see Larysa back again. We
cannot thank you enough for your prayers for Larysa and Kristina. We know the
Lord hand has been upon them and He sure has given mercy. Amen and amen!
Would you
please pray for
souls to be
saved and for
our people to
get on fire to
evangelize?
Notes of thanks from those who received the King James Bibles!
We are rejoicing in seeing the Lord continue to save the souls of men. Since we last wrote we are
now helping new Christians grow in their faith for the Lord. Lin (woman Chinese student) has made
a profession in Christ. We are seeing her really wanting to grow as well. She has a desire to study
the Bible with our other Chinese students.
Also, a young man from Nigeria visited our church one Sunday. He was looking for a church and
was asking some people for one in the city. The person referred him to us and he came to a service.
We spoke with him about the law and the gospel and he cried over his sins. But soon rejoiced when
he heard of Jesus. He has made a profession in Christ and is fairly faithful to church. He has a hard
life, so please pray for TeJay.
We are also rejoicing in the salvation of Tanya. Tanya has been coming to our church for some time
and we have been ministering to her for months. We invited her to our home and spoke in great
detail about the Lord. She has since made a profession on Christ and is really taking off in her faith.
She is always asking to have me teach her the Bible.
Please pray for these young people to grow in Christ. It would be wonderful to see the Lord call
them all into fulltime service.
Would you
please pray for
souls to be
saved and for
our people to
get on fire to
evangelize?

The Lord is not slack
concerning his
promise, as some
men count slackness;
but is longsuffering to
us-ward, not willing
that any should
perish, but that all
should come to
repentance.
2 Peter 3:9
This year our orphan outreach for the Christmas season was a great blessing.
Though the number or orphages were down a little from last year, we were still
able to get into a few new ones that we were not able to reach last year. Last
year we visited 11, but this year only 7. Nevertheless, we are grateful to reach
these children with the gospel. For those of you that gave to this, thank you so
much! Our home church gave us $1000.00 for this cause and it was a wonderful
help. Bibles, Light of the World DVD, gospel tracts and small toys were among
the gifts given. Inessa did a wonderful job ministering to the children. We are
including some pictures of this years outreach.

Student Ministry

Our new ministry to college students is just getting off the ground and there seems
to be a fairly good door to minister to foreign students. Yen in is my dear brother in
Christ and is a faithful member of the church. He is a student here and wants to
help in soul winning. He is doing what he can to help reach the students. This pic-
ture is from our first meeting. He is on the left and Lin (recently saved) is on the far
right.
Please pray for this
young man. His
name is How and
the Lord is really
working in his
heart. He is very
much in a battle
and needs prayer.
Support and Needs We are very much aware of the crises taking place around the US and also affecting Russia. Many peo-
ple here have lost jobs and businesses are closing. We see many places for rent and sale. In the last
few months, we have lost around 4% of our financial support from churches in the US. Most of them
telling us of their struggles. Please pray for our supporters. We need them very much and thank the
Lord for them.
Though the US dollar is doing very well here, as it is the highest I have ever seen in years. The loss of
our support does not help. We have 5 Bible studies per week in our home, with different people from our
church. We are studying the doctrines of the Bible. Also, we have Bible study with a young lady named
Natasha (unsaved). We are going through the Book Chronologically. With all of this said, we GREATLY
need a church facility for our own. I cannot use our home like I would like to, to help teach our people.
Our privacy has become very limited and we so greatly need an office space with over 100 sq meters
minimum. If we could purchase a office space and renovate it, we could use it nearly everyday for minis-
try. This is the most important need for the ministry here! Larysa and I enjoy having people over to our
one room apartment, but I am sure you will understand that it is tiring and that now we have a baby, we
would like to use another place for training the nationals.
If you would be able to donate towards our building fund, I cannot express to you how grateful we would
be. We as a church here are praying for help in this matter. The Chinese church is giving us very little
access to their facility as they have their own ministry. If you would be interested in helping our church,
please email me at [email protected]
Thank you for your prayers and support.
Greetings to you in the precious name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Our names are Jon and Larysa Zwingel. We are sent members of the New Hope
Baptist Church in Goode Virginia. Our Pastor is Don Rice, whom himself served
for 25 years as a missionary on the fields of England and Hungary. We are hon-
ored to be part of our loving church family and to also be called of God to be
church planting missionaries serving in the former Soviet Union.
Presently, we are living in St. Petersburg Russia, preaching the gospel of our Lord
Jesus Christ. Our ministry is winning souls to Christ, establishing churches, help-
ing reach orphans with the gospel.
Please pray for us as we labour here in this very needy field. Truly the fields are
white unto harvest!
For those of you that prayer and sup-
port this ministry. Thank you!
Yours in Christ,
Dr. Jon & Larysa Zwingel
