I WANT YOUTO BECOME A MEMBER OF
THE COVERED BRIDGEFESTIVAL COMMITTEE.
Organization meeting willbe Thursday, October 8
at 6:00 p.m.Zumbrota Town Hall
175 West Avenue.
The Covered Bridge Music & Arts Festival Committee needs YOU!Volunteers and civic organizations are the backbone of every localfestival and event in Minnesota. Even though Zumbrota’s CoveredBridge Festival has always been generously supported and staffed bylocal businesses, civic organizations and volunteers the overalldecline in civic organizations has left the Covered Bridge Festival indesperate need of volunteers. The festival is chaired by the ZumbrotaEDA and is not funded by tax dollars but rather has always beenfunded by the generosity of area businesses, fund raising, civic clubsand vendor fees. The other missing piece is manpower. Civic clubsand volunteers have supplied the manpower necessary to pull off thefestival in years past. But as volunteerism wanes the burden of pullingoff the Festival gets more difficult resulting in less fresh ideas and atightened budget. How many times have you said you wished therewas a certain event or activity at the Covered Bridge Festival? Nowis your time to share your ideas with others interested in making theCovered Bridge Festival the best it can be. Do you have a great ideafor an activity? Are you looking for a way to be involved in thecommunity and meet some other like-minded people? If so theCovered Bridge Festival Committee could be a great fit for you. Wewill be having an organizational meeting on October 8, 2015 at 6:00p.m. in the Zumbrota Town Hall. Please join us for refreshments and a great evening brainstormingabout our wonderful community festival.
