2012 Handover Dinner

Nutty Chocolate Slice

Base Ingredients ½ cup flour

½ cup SR flour

½ cup desiccated coconut

½ cup caster sugar

100g melted butter

Topping Ingredients 150g milk chocolate baking chips

395g can sweetened condensed milk

1 cup toasted hazelnuts, skin rubbed off

Method

Combine the sifted flours in a bowl with the coconut, sugar and melted butter, stir

to combine. Press into the base of a greased and base-lined 28cm x 18cm slice tin.

Bake in a moderate oven 180ºC for 10 minutes or until lightly browned and

cooked through.

Scatter the chocolate chips evenly over the base: pour over the condensed milk,

then top with the hazelnuts. Return to the oven and cook for 25 minutes or until

golden brown
