In the video I explain exactly what the I - IV - V (1, 4, 5) chord progression is and how to instantly find it on the fretboard. But as a quick reference, below you have the I - IV - V listed for each major key. On the next page you have the same listed for minor keys (which is actually IV - II - III (6, 2, 3) but that theory is beyond the scope of this course. You don’t need to know the theory behind it to use it, just the same as you don’t need to understand electricity to flick on a light switch. Remember to try with 7th chords, either all at 7ths of just on the V chord.

As explained in the video lesson, VI - II - III (6, 2, 3) is the I - IV - V for minor. Don’t worry if all these numbers are confusing, this is here just more for reference. In the video I show you the trick to instantly play a I - IV - V or VI - II - III chord progression without having to use any theory or confusing numbers.
