Theblackcommunityasawholehasturnedtheirbacksandblindlyfollowedthefurorstirredupbyself proclaimedleadersofyourcommunity.Theseleadershaveralliesandchanthorriblethingsofaperson theyknownothingabout.Ifjusticeiswhatthecommunitywantsdontyouthinkyoushouldwaitforthe investigatorstodotheirjobsfirst?Isntthatjustice? Thepurposeofthisletteroftheremindyouthatthingsarenotalwayswhattheyseem.Sometimes tragicthingshappenandthereareALWAYStwosidestoeverystory.AsAfricanAmericansyoucan surelyidentifywiththat.WhileIamnotpreparedtogetintothedetailsoftheinvestigationbecauseIdo notwanttomakearushtojudgmentliketherestofsociety,Iwouldliketopointoutsomethingsthat manyofyourfollowersalreadyknow.ThesepeoplethatIrefertohave,todate,lackedthemoral characterandprincipletodotherightthingeventhoughitmaybeunpopular. YouwillrecalltheincidentofthebeatingoftheblackhomelessmanShermanWareonDecember4, 2010bythesonofaSanfordpoliceofficer.Thebeatingsparkedanoutrageinthecommunitybutthere wereveryfewthatsteppeduptodoanythingaboutit.Iwouldpresumetheinactionwasbecauseofthe factthathewashomelessnotbecausehewasblack.Doyouknowtheindividualthatsteppedupwhen nooneelseintheblackcommunitywould?Doyouknowwhospenttirelesshoursputtingflyersonthe carsofpersonsparkedinthechurchesoftheblackcommunity?Doyouknowwhowaitedforthe churchgoerstogetoutofchurchsothathecouldhandthemfliersinanattempttoorganizetheblack communityagainstthishorriblemiscarriageofjustice?DoyouknowwhohelpedorganizetheCityHall meetingonJanuary8th,2011atSanfordCityHall??ThatpersonwasGEORGEZIMMERMAN.Ironicisnt it? ThemainpointforthisletteristoexplaintoyouthattheblackcommunityhaslabeledGeorgearacist withoutanyinvestigationatall.RegardlessofthefactthatGeorgepersonallyspoketomanyofyour constituents,notonehassteppedforwardandsaid,HeyIknowthatface.ThatistheHispanicguythat wasstandingupforShermanWare.Thatwastheonlynonblackfaceinthemeetingsforjusticeinthis

case.YouknowaswellasIdothattherearemanyNAACPfollowersthatrecognizeGeorgefromthe Warecaseaswellasmanyothergoodthingsthathesdonefortheblackcommunity.Itstimeforyouto endtheraceissueinthismatterandcallforcoolerheadstoprevail.IfsomethinghappenstoGeorgeas aresultoftheracefurorstirredupbythismischaracterizationofGeorgetherewillbebloodonyour handsaswellastherestoftheraciststhathaverushedtojudgment.Youneedtocalloffthedogs. Period.Publiclyandswiftly. Youwillnotbetheonlyrecipientofthisletter.IamgoingtoscreamasloudaboutthisastheNAACPhas againstracistGeorge.TherewillbeapressreleasewithacopyofthislettermailedtothemediabutI amgoingtogiveyouaheadstartindoingtherightthing.TheactionsoftheNAACPonthiswillhelpthe worlddecidewhetheryourorganizationisinfactracistorifitisforthegreatergoodofsociety.
