1 Introduction

This document provides procedure to upgrade 6742 ADSL2+/VDSL2 CPE via GUI to

software release 102TUP3D0.bin in the following two cases .

a) Upgrade existing deployed and in-service CPEs in the field from b3 or b5 release

to 102TUP3D0.bin.

b) Upgrade new CPEs (not yet deployed nor configured) in the field from b3 or b5

release to 102TUP3D0.bin.

2 CPE Firmware upgrade for existing deployed and in-service CPEs in the field from b3 or b5 release to 102TUP3D0.bin

1. Open Web browser from PC and go to “http://CPE_Management_IP, the

following login page will appear. enter user name: Admin, pwd: Conf

(previously admin/1234)


2. Check the current software version running on the CPE, go to the “status” menu:

The current software version can be “1.02(TUP.0)b3” or “1.02(TUP.0)b5_0404”


3. Click on Maintenance > Tools, select “Firmware” menu, specify the directory

where the firmware 102TUP3D0.bin is stored on your PC and then click

“upload” button.


4. Wait about 2 minutes for the upgrade process and CPE reboot to complete:


5. Once the upgrade process is completed successfully to “102TUP3D0.bin”, check

that the new version is showing on the status page:

6. Update old dial plan with new dial plan, Go to “Voip SIP SIP Service

Provider” and click on “Advanced” button:


Update the old dial plan with the following new dial plan and click “Apply” button”:

7. Update old TR069 server IP address with new TR069 IP address, Go to

“Advanced Remote MGMT TR069”:

Replace 172.21.138.10 with 172.21.138.20 and click “Apply/Save” button:

1. Open Web browser from PC and go to “http://CPE_Management_IP, the

that the new version is showing on the status page:


6. Set the CPE to defaults, go to “Maintenance ToolsConfiguration” and click

the “Reset” button:


The following page will appear, click OK:

CPE will reboot, wait for 2 minutes to come up:
