Zeus Hera
Zeus is the most famous Greek god. He is the son of the
Titans Cronus and Rhea.
Zeus was the supreme ruler of the gods. He is lord of the
sky. His weapon is a thunderbolt.
Hera is the wife of Zeus and queen of the ancient Greek
gods. She was the goddess of marriage and the family. She
was famous for her jealous and vengeful nature.
Artemis Apollo
Artemis had a twin brother named Apollo. She was the daughter of Zeus and Leto. She was devoted to hunting
and nature, rejecting love and romance.
Apollo is the son of Zeus and Leto, and the twin brother of
Artemis. Apollo was the god of music, prophecy, medicine, archery, poetry, dance, and
more.
Chiron HeraUranus
Chiron is a Centaur. He is the son of Cronus and Philyra (a sea nymph). Most Centaurs
were known for being savages. However, Chiron was famous
for his wisdom and knowledge of medicine.
Uranus was known as “Father Sky.” He was the husband of Gaia (Mother Earth). Their children were the first Greek gods and goddesses, known
as the Titans.
HermesAphrodite
Aphrodite is the goddess of love and beauty. She is the
daughter or Uranus. She was known for her beauty and
temper.
Hermes is an Olympian god who is the son of Zeus and
Maia. He is second youngest of the Olympian gods. Hermes
is a god of transitions and boundaries.
Cronos Eros
Cronus was a Titan who devoured his children as soon as they were born to prevent
them from overtaking him, as he had overthrown his father. His son Zeus survived and
eventually overthrew Cronus.
Eros was the Greek god of love. His Roman name was Cupid. In some myths, he is the son
of Aphrodite.
Hades Hephaestus
Hades was the god of the Underworld. He was the son of Cronus and Rhea. He was known for being very serious and in a foul mood. Many
were scared of him.
Hephaestus was the son of Zeus and Hera. He made all
the weapons of the gods in Olympus. He was gentle and generous, and preferred to be
alone.
Hestia Pan
Hestia is the daughter of Cronus and Rhea. She was
the goddess of the hearth, architecture, domesticity, the
family, and the state.
Pan was the god of shepherds and flocks. He was the son of
Hermes and a nymph. Pan was born with the legs and
horns of a goat, which caused his own mother to reject him.
Demeter Hera
Demeter is the goddess of the harvest. She presided over the sacred law, and the cycle of life and death. She had a
daughter named Persephone who was tricked into living in
the Underworld.
Pallas
Pallas was the daughter of Triton. During a friendly fight between Pallas and
Athena, Athena was protected from harm by Zeus but
Pallas was mortally wounded.
