GENERAL SAFETY REGULATIONS1. Only a trained operator having a validdriving license and being properlyacquainted with operating and safetyrules can operate the tractor.2. Except of safety warnings mentioned inthis operator’s manual you must respectall general safety and traffic regulationsof country where the tractor works.PROPER CLOTHING3. Do not wear loose clothing and freeflying long hair.4. Use suitable (prescribed) personalprotection means (working boots, glovesetc.) at work.STARTING ENGINE5. Starting the engine when driving tractordownhill is forbidden.6. Starting tractor by means of towingwith another tractor or vehicle is allowedonly when the pull bar is used.

7. Start the tractor from driver’sseat only with the shifting lever inneutral position and with theclutch pedal depressed-down.Life hazard when starting by

means of starter connector short circuit.8. The key of the key switch must be inposition "I".9. When preheating engine by electricalheater, plug the heater first and connectthe cable into electricity after. After

finishing of preheating disconnect thecable from electricity first.OPERATION10. Hoses of hydrostatic steering, brakesand fuel system must be checked andreplaced in case of any damage indi-cation. The damage indication is forexample: cracks on hose surface,loosening of hose fittings (it is possible toverify it easy by pulling of hose fromfitting) and mechanical damage of hose.It is necessary to replace the hoses withmarked service life immediately afterexpiration of the marked service life.11. Brake pedals must be latched attransportation with trailers and imple-ments on the road.12. Brakes and steering must be per-manently in perfect condition.13. Driving downhill without shifted gearis forbidden!14. Pay special attention when driving onhilly, muddy, sandy, icy and uneven ter-rain.15. Do not exceed the max. specifiedinclination angle that is max. 11°.Respectively 12° for tractors with frontdriving axle.16. Do not exceed the max. total weightof trailers mentioned in the tractor serialnumber plate or at the rear fender.17. Do not use the differential lock whendriving into the turning.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR USERS18. It is forbidden to get out or into thedriving tractor.19. Reduce the travel speed to 15 km.h-1

when transporting agricultural imple-ments hitched in the front three pointhitch.20. The front axle load must not be lowerthan 18 to 20 % of immediate total trac-tor set weight when transportingagricultural implements hitched in rearhitches.21. Reduced gears 1R, 2R, 3R must notbe used in case that tractors Z 7421,Z 7441, Z 8421, Z 8441 are implementedwith machines and implements having abig traction resistance when enginespeed is dropping and the tendency ofengine is to be stopped.22. Reduced gears 1R, 2R must not beused in case that tractors Z 6421, Z 6441are implemented with such machines.TRANSPORTATION OF PERSONS,OPERATION23. Number of persons transported bytractor must not exceed numbermentioned in tractor technical license.24. Persons, that are not authorized towork with attached implement, must notstand between tractor and hitchedimplement (machine).25. Make sure neither any person nor anyobstacle allows driving before startingtractor move.

26. Max. allowed travel speed of tractorand trailer equipped with air trailerbrakes is 30 km.h-1. Only tractor modelsZ 6441, Z 7441, Z 8441 equipped withbraked front driving axle can travel bymax. allowed speed (tractor and trailer orsemi-trailer) 40 km.h-1.TRACTOR RESCUE AND PUSHING27. To recover the stack tractor use a towbar or cable.

Never use chains! Rupture of thechains represents a mortaldanger!

28. It is life dangerous to stand near therope when recovering the tractor.29. Front hook assembled on front tractorframe serves for pulling of the tractoralone only, i.e. without trailer or anotherimplement.30. Never use free wooden blocks or barsput between tractor and pushed subjectwhen pushing other vehicles (trailers,implements etc.)LEAVING OF TRACTOR31. Do not park the tractor with attachedimplement in lifted position.32. Do not forget to brake the tractor withparking brake (shift the gear), removethe key from key switch and lock the cabbefore leaving the tractor.

33. At tractor equipped with reversorgear, shift the reversor lever into forwarddrive position.34. Usually use the left-hand side tractordoor when leaving the tractor. Lookround whether any vehicle is coming,that could jeopardize your safety whenleaving the tractor.35. Use steps and handles when leavingthe tractor. When leaving the tractor bythe right-hand side door pay attentionbeing in space of shifting lever and handthrottle control.36. Brake the tractor with parking brakebefore leaving tractor with running engi-ne.AT STOPPED ENGINE ONLY37. All activities connected with refuelling,cleaning, lubricating and adjusting tractoror attached implement can be done atstopped engine and stopped movingtractor parts only, except of brake,hydraulics and charging function check.38. It is always necessary to stop theengine before removing of hood. Theengine can run in a closed building orroom only when sufficient ventilationworks. Exhaust gases are healthdangerous.PRINCIPLES OF FIRE PREVENTION39. Refuel the tractor preferentially afterfinishing work and at stopped engine.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR USERS40. Do not refuel the fuel tank up to thetop in summer season. Wipe the fuelimmediately when spilled.41. Do not refuel the tractor nearby openflame and do not smoke.42. Do not smoke and do not use openflame when inspecting the batteryelectrolyte level.43. Keep properly the fire prevention re-gulations in areas with increased firehazard (hay-lofts, straw-stocks etc.).44. If the tractor is equipped with a fireextinguisher, keep it always ready foruse.

HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENTPROTECTION

45. Tractors are not furnished withspecial filters of air that is sucked to thecab. Therefore the tractors are notintended for work with aerosols andother substances harmful to health.Kerosene, diesel fuel, mineral oils andother products from crude oil used foroperation and maintenance of tractormay cause an injury in case of directcontact with skin and it can irritatemucous membranes, eyes, digestive orrespiratory organs. Some of them cancause poisoning when swallowed.46. The operators who enter in contactwith oil products are obliged to keepsafety and hygienic instructionsconsistently, make use of appropriate

protecting means, and work in well-ventilated rooms.

MANIPULATION WITH CRUDE-OIL PRODUCTS

47. After finishing work, wash yourselfwith a non-irritant agent and treat yourhands with a suitable skin ointment orcream.48. When connecting and disconnectingthe quick couplers of hydraulic circuit,remove – with a piece of any cloth – theresidual oil, which remains in the couplersocket or possibly at the plug.

WASTE DISPOSAL

49. When disposing the tractor or someof its parts (including the service liquids),as soon as their service life is over,every body is obliged to proceed inaccordance with the provisions of therelevant laws and regulations. In themanufacturer’s country it is the Law No.185 / 2001 coll. on wastes (§ 36 to 38)together with its procedural regulations(particularly the decree of the Ministry ofEnvironment No. 383 / 2001 coll. dealingwith details on waste manipulation - § 18and 19). The last tractor seller is obliged– by the Law on wastes – to inform theconsumer – when selling the tractor – onthe ways of taking back some of the

consumed parts of the tractor. Inquestion are the oils and other serviceliquids, storage batteries, and tires.These components must be acceptedback from the consumer free of charge.PREVENTIVE DAILY SERVICE50. Do this service every day or at leastevery 8 to 10 hours.SAFETY CAB51. If corrosion, crash or other accidentcause damage of the frame of safety cabit is necessary to replace the cab.AIR-CONDITIONING52. In any case it is not allowed todisassemble, turn or manipulate inanother way the screw joints of the air-conditioning system, because suddenleak of the coolant and quick localcooling may occur. Contact or freezing ofcomponents in hands may result inserious injury of some tissues.53. The air-conditioning system isequipped with quick couplers, whichallow separation of the cab from thetractor body if necessary, without anyleak of the coolant. Entrust theinterventions into the air conditioningsystem to the service specialists.

54. No additional interventionsinto the tractor electricalequipment (connection of otherelectrical appliances) are allowedbecause of its possibleoverloading!

55. The values of electrical installationare:Nominal voltage 12 V =Ground minus pole ( - ) poleUsing of starting trucks or starting aiddevices with different voltage or polaritycauses serious failures of tractor.56. It is necessary to be careful whenmanipulating with the battery and toavoid short circuits. Turn off the batteryswitch at tractors equipped with thisswitch when manipulating with thebattery.57. Tractors Z 6421- Z 8441 must notbe run with disconnected battery,because serious failure of tractor couldoccur.

FUEL SYSTEM LEAKAGECheck the fuel system for leakage in-cluding the draining plug of the fuel tank.Repair immediately any leaks.

ENGINE OIL LEVELOil dipstick is situated at the right-handside of engine. After unscrewing andremoving of oil dipstick check the engineoil level. Then check connections oflubrication system for leakage. Maintainoil level between the dipstick marks.

COOLING SYSTEMCheck connections of engine coolingsystem for leaks and coolant level in theexpansion tank. The expansion tank isaccessible after removing the right-handside part of hood. Add the missingcoolant up to the upper level that ismarked with gauge mark MAX. Minimumpermissible coolant level is marked withgauge mark MIN.

Release the overpressure fillercup only after cooling down ofcoolant. Danger of scalding!

FLUID SERVICE BRAKESCheck leaks of fluid brakes, fluid controlof clutch and brake fluid level in thebrake fluid expansion tank. Theexpansion tank is accessible afterremoving the left-hand side part of hood.Keep the brake fluid level within therange from 3/4 of vessel volume(maximum level) up to 1/2 of vesselvolume (minimum level).

Keep absolute cleanness whenhandling with brake fluid. Dailybefore beginning of work withtractor check the brake fluid level.

AIR BRAKES OF TRAILERCheck the air brake system leak and airbreak efficiency of tractor with trailer.

HYDRAULIC BRAKES OF TRAILERCheck the hydraulic brake system leakand hydraulic break efficiency of tractorwith trailer.

HYDROSTATIC STEERINGCheck oil level in the hydrostatic steeringoil tank with dipstick.The hydrostatic steering oil tank isaccessible after removing the left-handside part of hood. In case of need refill oilup to the mark at the dipstick, whichdetermines right oil volume.Check state of all hoses of hydrostaticsteering circuit for damage and oil leak.Retighten bolts and nuts of steering tie-rods and arms.

TIRES AND WHEELSCheck the inflation air pressure of frontand rear tires. Inflate them up to therecommended pressure according tooperating conditions. Check, eventuallyretighten bolts of front and rear wheels(Connections rim / disc and disc / wheelshaft).

Never drive tractor with loosenedbolts of wheels!

AIR CLEANERAfter signalling of the clogging indicator itis necessary to perform maintenance ofthe cleaner.The indicator is accessible afterremoving of the left-hand side part oftractor hood. It is situated near thesuction pipe elbow.Clogging is mechanically signalised withred field that appears after clogging ofthe filtration elements directly at theclogging indicator.A Cleaner is not clogged.B Cleaner is clogged, perform

maintenance.See chapter Maintenanceinstructions.

CAB FILTRATIONCheck and eventually clean cab filterslocated under the roof in front part.Filter exchange interval depends upondustiness of working condition.The partial regeneration of filters can bedone by shaking-out or blowing by pressair.Cleaning or replacing of filtrationelements can be performed afterremoving of grills located in front of cabroof.

HITCHESCheck the state of hitches and attach-ments including the trailer.

AFTER OPERATION WITH FRONTIMPLEMENTSAfter operation with front implements:– Check the connections of hydraulic

control circuit of the front three-pointhitch for leaks

Clogging of coolers:– Remove the side part of hood– ∗ Loosen and pull the air-conditioning

condenser to the left-hand tractor side.– Clean the front part of engine radiator

(air-conditioning condenser) by meansof pressured air (blow air in directionfrom the engine).

– Remove the rest of impurities from thespace under the bonnet (otherwisetheir repeated suction might appear).

SHORT FUNCTIONAL TESTCheck if the control lamps of hydrostaticsteering failure, engine lubrication andbattery charging are “off“ after enginestarting. Check function and leaks ofhydraulic circuits.

REAR WINDOWRear window is equipped with handleand is kept in the open position by gasstruts.

We recommend to latch thewindow in closed position whendriving on uneven terrain - dan-ger of window cracking. Beforestarting work with machines im-plemented in the rear three pointhitch be sure that the interferencebetween hitched implement andopened rear window is avoided atthe maximum lifting of the rearthree point hitch. In case ofinterference we recommend towork with closed window.

SIDE WINDOWA plastic latch locks the side window inhalf-opened position.

∗∗∗∗ TILTABLE ROOF LIDThe tiltable roof lid can be opened byturning the arresting lever and by half-opening.

Tractor total height is increasedwhen opened lid. Thereforealways close the lid whenpassing through low profiles orwhen parking there.

OPENING FOR IMPLEMENTATIONPURPOSESThe bottom window is rigid and isequipped with opening for connection ofcontrols with attached implements.

REARVIEW MIRRORSAdjust rearview mirrors before driving orstarting the job to be able to see theentire road or the working field.

WASHER NOZZLEThe washer nozzle is situated in theupper part of the hood and is adjustableby needle or steel wire of maximumdiameter 0,8 mm.

WASHER TANKThe washer tank is located inside thecab, on the right hand side of rear wallbehind the driver’s seat. The washertank capacity is 2,5 litres. Antifreezemixture for washers must be used inwinter season for filling the washer tank.

WASHER CONTROLThe windshield washer sprays afterpressing the switch of front two-speedwiper. This switch is located on the rightcab pillar. Maximum time ofuninterrupted operation of washer pumpis 20 s.

DRIVER’S SEAT Mars SvratkaADJUSTMENT FOR DRIVER’SWEIGHTThe suspended seat is adjustable fordriver’s weight from 50 up to 120 kg.Adjustment is done by turning of squareknob. Weight indicator is located in theslot of rear seat cover. Spring stroke is120 mm.

Do not adjust the seat whendriving!Danger of accident!

LONGITUDINAL ADJUSTMENTThe seat can be longitudinally adjustedwithin range ± 75 mm (11 positions) afterunlocking of left hand side lever.

VERTICAL ADJUSTMENTVertical seat adjustment is done by theright hand side lever; from the middleposition to two marginal positions withinrange ± 30 mm.

In this position the air inlet fromoutside of the cab is fully closedand in the cab no overpressure,which prevents penetration ofnon-filtered air into the cab, iscreated!Use this position of the controlonly for urgently necessary time!

RIGHT FUNCTION OF HEATING ANDAIR-CONDITIONING SYSTEMIt is necessary to create overpressure inthe cab for proper function of heating orair-conditioning. Therefore werecommend to shut all windows, doorsand cab roof cover.

FAST HEATING THE CAB SPACEProcess in the following way:1 - Turn the control of the heating valve

(A) to the right-hand position (heatingvalve fully open).

This state can causefeelings of tiredness.Note: When working, set the control (D)according to your individual requirementsat temperature in a position between (a)and (b) so that the blower could suck airfrom outside of the cab through thefilters.

IMMEDIATELY AFTER COOLINGDOWN THE CABImmediately after cooling down the caband reduction of the inner temperature todesired level we recommend:− Switch over the control of air circulation

(D) from position (b - air re-circulation)to position (a - outer air suction)

− Perform fluent regulating of airtemperature with switched-in air-conditioning by means of half-openingof the heating valve (A). At this setting,air going into the cab from the outletsis not dried so intensively.

− You can perform fluent regulating of airtemperature with switched-in air-conditioning by means of decreasingof blower power by switching thecontrol (B) to position 1 or 2.

BEFORE ENGINE STARTINGBefore starting the engine besure that1. the tractor is properly braked2. the main shifting lever is in

neutral position.If the clutch pedal is notdepressed and also the handclutch lever is not in brakingposition, the tractor cannot bestarted - safety interlock switch isnot actuated.

Note: Before starting we recommend toprime the fuel system by means ofseveral strokes of hand fuel transferpump.

ENGINE STARTING1. Insert the key into the key switch ("0"

position).2. Depress the clutch pedal.3. Move the main shifting lever into

neutral position.4. Move the hand clutch lever into

braking position (safety interlockswitch will be actuated).

5. Set throttle to control increaseddelivery (approx. 1/2 of maximumdelivery).

6. Turn the key from “0” position to "I"position. The indication lamp ofglowing of thermo-start turns “ON“.

7. Wait until the indication lamp is off.(The time is dependent on coolanttemperature).

In case that the indication lamp isonly flashing instead of lighting,the glowing system failed

(Chapter Signalling of glowing systemfailures). Let repair the indicated failurein a specialized workshop.8. Immediately after indication lamp

extinction (max. within 5 s) turn thekey from the position "I" into "II"position (start).

9. Release the key immediately afterstarting the engine, it returnsautomatically into ”I” position. Do notstart longer than 15 sec.

10. After starting the engine, reducegradually the fuel delivery.

Never help to the stopping engineby the starter motor. There isdanger of damage of startermotor.

SIGNALLING OF GLOW SYSTEMFAILURESFailure of glowing system is signalised byflashing of the signalling lamp of glowing.- If the signalling lamp of glowing is

flushing one times in one second atstopped engine, glowing will take placein emergency regime as at lowtemperature regardless to coolanttemperature

- If the signalling lamp of glowing isflushing two times in one second atstopped engine, glowing is put ofoperation (out of function)

- If the signalling lamp of glowing isflushing permanently at runningengine, failure of glowing regulatoroccurred and glowing was not finished.It is necessary to remove the failureimmediately, because there is dangerof battery discharging

MANIPULATION WITH MOTORSTARTER

It is forbidden to start thetractor by short circuit ofstarter motor connectors!Start the tractor from thedriver’s seat only!Disconnect the ground batterypole, shift all levers into neutralposition, including PTO engage-ment, when any manipulationwith starter motor or repairing it!Starter motor connectors arecovered with a cover.

PREHEATING OF ENGINEContinue with farther preheating the engine already while driving. Warming upthe engine by long idle run or fast increase of speed is dangerous for theengine.Do not exceed engine speed above 2 000 min-1 until the coolant temperaturereaches 45 °C.

STARTING THE ENGINE WITH USING OF COOLANT HEATERHeater enables starting the engine at low ambient temperature by preheating thecoolant. The electrical installation and its protection against electrical shock hazardmust be done according to the valid regulations1. Plug the heater first.2. Plug the cable with connected heater to 220 V mains after.With regard to reduction of engine wear when starting at low temperatures, producerrecommends to use the heater. Preheating time depends upon the ambienttemperature (1 to 2 hours before supposed starting are sufficient).

After finishing of heating, unplug the mains first and the heater only after!Electrical shock hazard!

It is necessary to ensure instruction of tractor operator’s and regularrevisions of the coolant heater including inlet cable accordingly with thevalid standard of the country, in which the tractor is operated, minimumbefore each winter season.

DRIVING UPHILLShift from higher to lower speedin time when going uphill, toavoid engine speed droppingbelow 800 min-1 and do not admitdriving leading to engine stoppingin consequence of overloading.

DRIVING DOWNHILLDriving downhill without shiftedspeed gear is forbidden. If drivingdown a longer hill, shift so lowgear the sharper one the hill is. Ifpossible, shift the lower speedgear still before driving downhill.

Note: The gear you use reliably fordriving uphill is safely suitable for drivingdownhill.

Permanent engagement of front drivingaxle is permitted if an agriculturemachine or implement is attached infront of the tractor. This condition isspecified in operator’s manual of eachparticular machine.Maximum permitted speed of the set withsuch attachment is 15 km.h-1.

AIR BRAKES OF TRAILERS ANDSEMI-TRAILERSControl of air brakes of trailers (semi-trailers), is performed in such mannerthat the brake effect of both vehicles issynchronised.

HYDRAULIC TRAILER BRAKESHydraulic trailer (semi-trailer) brake control and tractor brake control havesynchronised braking effect. Working pressure is activated by oil pressure that isdelivered from a gear-wheel disengageable hydraulic pump (1). A brake valve (2) isinstalled in the circuit after the pump.The trailer brake valve is controlled by brake fluid pressure from the brake mastercylinders in dependence on the force that affects on the brake pedal. Pressure in thebrake coupling (3) must be 12 - 15 MPa at maximal depression of the brake pedal.The trailer brake valve prefers the brake function to the hydraulic function. Whendoing de-aeration of tractor brakes do not forget to de-aerate also the brake valve. Incase that during depression of service brake pedals, shocks appear in piping of thehydraulic circuit, it is necessary to de-aerate the hose (4) from the brake valve (2) tothe quick-coupling (3).

Brake pedals must be connected and secured with latch when driving thetractor with attached trailer or semi-trailer!At braking with one brake pedal the hydraulic trailer brakes are not infunction.

STOPPING THE TRACTOR - PARKINGBRAKEAt normal conditions stop the tractorslowly. Shortly before stopping:1. Depress the clutch pedal.2. Move the main shifting lever into

neutral.3. At each tractor stopping protect the

tractor against accidental movementby setting of parking brake. Indicatorlamp located on the dash indicatesparking brake setting.

STOPPING THE ENGINEThe engine must be cooled after workwith fully loaded tractor.1. Reduce engine speed to 800 - 1000

min-1 before stopping the engine andlet it run without load approximatelyfor 5 minutes.

2. Move the throttle control lever intoSTOP position.

3. Pull up the control of engine stopping(stopping device) and keep it inpulled position until the engine stops(push the control back).

4. After engine stopping is possible toturn the switch key into “0“ position.

Note: At stopped engine the front drivingaxle is automatically shifted into “on”position.

LEAVING THE TRACTORBefore leaving tractor with safety cab donot forget to remove the key from the keyswitch in “0” position (only at stoppingengine – the indicator of battery charginglamp must be “on”) and lock the cab. atcab tractors before leaving tractor. (Thekey cannot be removed when it is in “I”or “II” positions).When the tractor stands on the hill,wheels must also be locked with blocks.

The tractor must be properlyassured against accidental move:

1. Engine must be “off”.2. Speed gear 1 must be shifted.3. Tractor must be braked with parking

It is necessary to do exchange of the end at stopped engine. It is necessary to select PTO speed and type of end in dependence on prescribed speed of the connected implement. Shifting of 540 and 1000 r.p.m. is possible without regard to assembled 6-spline or 21-spline ends.

SELECTION LEVER OF CONTROL MODEThe lever has three positions marked by P, M, D:P - This marks position control at which the implement attached in the three

point hitch is automatically kept in constant height (position) with regard tothe tractor.

M - This marks mix control, which is a combination of position and draft controls.This is suitable especially for ploughing at soils with variable soil resistance.

D - This marks draft control at which the implement attached in the three pointhitch is automatically readjusted in dependence depending upon soilresistance change.

All modes of control enable also work with implement having a supporting wheel in socalled free (floating).

The selection lever of control mode must be moved into P position whentransporting implement!

RESPONSE RATE CONTROL LEVERThe lever controls the hydraulic valve inthe distributor, which distributes oil flowto inner and outer circuits.The oil flow in inner circuit is minimum, ifthe lever is moved in the direction (MIN)from the driver’s seat.Hydraulic response rate is reduced withrestriction of oil flow when draft or mixcontrol are selected, for example whenploughing at variable soil conditions.

HYDRAULIC OUTER CIRCUITHydraulic outer circuit delivers the pres-sure oil into hydraulic implementsconnected to hydraulic outer outletsequipped with the quick-couplers. Quick-coupler sockets have inner diameter12,5 mm and correspond to ISOinternational recommendation.

OUTER CIRCUIT CONTROL LEVERThe lever has three positions marked on label:a - Pressure is in quick-coupler "1", quick-coupler "2" is connected with return

line. Lever is moved into its rear margin position. The lever must be held inthis position, otherwise it is automatically turned into position "b" (neutral).

b - Neutral position (locked). Outlets to quick-couplers "1" and "2" are closed andoil in attached hydraulic implement is blocked. The lever is automatically heldin this position by spring.

ATTACHING OF IMPLEMENT TO THREE POINT HITCHThe left lifting link (2) is adjustable after disconnecting of its upper end from hydrauliclifting arm pin and is intended for course adjustment position. Fine adjusting is madeby means of turning the right lifting link tube (3) by means the wrench.Lower link ends (5) can be mutually vertically adjusted within a range of 200 mm.Floating (free) connection of implement with the tractor and mutual winging round thelongitudinal axis is enabled after sliding of the pin (6) into the oval opening (7) of theleft lifting link (2). In this case the lower draft link ends can be freely vertically movedby 100 mm one each other. Transversal guiding of implement is secured with thelower link stabilizers (4). At an attached implement of category II, the ends of thelower links can swing from the central position to both sides. The side swing can belimited by locking of the stabilizers (4).

Lower draft links (5) have to be connected with springs (8) and the top link (1)has to be hooked in the spring holder when transportation without implementtakes place. Lower link stabilizers (4) need to be shortened at transportationto avoid undesired side swing of implement!

REDUCTION VALVE SETTINGIt is recommended before starting ofwork with implement attached in front ofthe three point hitch to carry out settingof the reduction valve (3), so that thetime needed for implement lowering fromthe upper position to the lowest positioncould be 1 to 1,5 second. Loweringspeed is increased by turning the valvebody into left (in arrow direction).

ATTACHING OF IMPLEMENTThe implement is attached into the frontthree point hitch forks and is locked bythe attaching pins. Securing of fixed andfloating positions is provided with thepins:- Fixed position of the attached

implement is provided by setting of thepins into position 1.

- Floating position of the attachedimplement is provided by setting ofthe pins into position 2.

DRIVING WITH AGRICULTURALMACHINES ATTACHED IN FRONTTHREE POINT HITCH

BASIC SERVICE INFORMATIONAccumulator battery "minus" pole must be always connected with the ground and"plus" pole connected with alternator. A vice versa connected accumulator batterydestroys the complete semiconductor equipment of alternator. When starting thetractor by means of an auxiliary accumulator battery do not forget to connect "plus"to "plus" and "minus" to "minus. Disconnect the battery by the battery switch fromtractor ground (-), when replacing any part of charging circuit to avoid possible shortcircuit at connectors.

At any manipulation or repair of starter motor the battery minus pole must bedisconnected and all shifting levers including PTO lever must be shifted toneutral positions to avoid spontaneous starting and serviceman’s life hazard.

Starting of tractor by short circuit of starter connectors is forbidden!Tractor must be always started from driver’s seat.

ACCUMULATOR BATTERYThe accumulator battery (1) is locatedbehind the front mask of bonnet and isaccessible after removing the left-handside shield.The battery switch (2) is located at theleft-hand tractor side close the startermotor.A - Battery connectedB - Battery disconnected

If the tractor is out of operationfor longer time period, it isnecessary to charge the batteryat least once in three months forreasons of self-discharging of thebattery. It is recommended todisconnect the battery by meansof the battery switch, when thetractor is out of operation.

ACCUMULATOR BATTERY MAINTENANCEKeep the accumulator battery clean and properly fixed to the vehicle. The fixingdevice must not deform the battery case. At polypropylene batteries, electrolyte levelmust not be under the minimum mark, which is marked on the battery case.

Add distilled water only! 1. Before working with an accumulator, read the manual at first! 2. Protect your eyes with glasses or safety shield! 3. Electrolyte is caustic agent, then handle it with proper care! Wash off the

stained areas of skin and neutralize them with soap and water, and somaintain stained clothing.

4. Hydrogen is released from electrolyte at electrodes at battery chargingand creates explosive mixture being mixed with air. Then it is forbidden tohandle with open fire close to the accumulator during charging!

5. An explosion might also be caused by a spark created at disconnecting orreleasing of terminal, at switched-in charging circuit!

6. Keep children out! 7. Discarded battery is ecologically dangerous waste – when buying a new

accumulator, let the old one at the seller’s for charge-free liquidation.

vehicle 1. Systematic overcharging and dis-

charging of battery damages andshortens its life. Correctly adjustedcharging system maintains batterynear to the fully charged state. Atadjusted voltage level (13,8 - 14,4 V)in charging system and averagetractor operation it is sufficient tocheck and maintain the level ofelectrolyte by distilled water once persix month.

2. At heavier operation and anotherlevel of regulated voltage it is neces-sary more frequent checking thelevel of electrolyte. Overcharging thebattery on vehicle (more than 14,4 V)causes bigger loose of electrolyte.

3. It is necessary to charge the batteryremoved from the vehicle or in thevehicle, which is not in operation(see Storage of charged batterieswith electrolyte). It is also suitable tocharge battery in vehicle before andafter winter season. In winter seasonat strong frost the electrolyte mightbe frozen at almost dischargedbattery (density of electrolyte 1,12 -1,15 g/cm3) in this case the life issubstantially reduced (disintegration

of active agent and destroy of batterycase). Heavily discharged battery(density of electrolyte lower than 1,07g/cm3) might be frozen already atseveral degrees below zero.

4. Charge the battery by current that is0,1 of total battery capacity (or lower)up to fully charged state.

5. Charging device with constantvoltage 14,4 V can be also used.Charging time can be max. 30 hoursaccording to state of discharging.

6. Fully discharged battery must becharged as soon as possible,otherwise its full capacity can not berestored.

B) Charged battery characters 1. Battery is considered as fully

charged if all battery cells generategas with same intensity. If electrolytedensity is 1,28 g/cm3 in all cells and iftotal battery voltage is 15,3 - 16,5 V,measured with prescribed chargingcurrent.

2. Status of full charging is confirmedwhen the received density of electro-lyte and level of voltage is notchanged within farther two measure-ments following after two hours.

3. For example the charging state foryour orientation: status of chargingcorresponds to density of electrolyte.Charging state is characterized by

electrolyte density and is measuredby a charge indicator. Every cellneeds to be measured.

1. Before storage the battery must becharged up to final symptoms ofcharging. It must be disconnectedfrom charging system, cleaned andwith plugs.

2. Battery that is built into apolypropylene case must be chargedafter three month of storage becauseof smaller self-discharging.

3. Intervals for checking the state ofelectrolyte are: – at charging orminimum once per 6 month, byadding distilled water only! If someelectrical components are per-manently connected even at discon-nected key switch (for exampleWarning) it is necessary to check thestatus of charging – i.e. voltagewithout load and electrolyte densitymin. once per 1 month.

ALTERNATORThe alternator is accessible afterremoving of the right-hand side shield.Charging state is indicated by the redindicator lamp at the combinedinstrument panel.

Burnt indicator lamp 12V / 2Wmust be immediately replaced.The indicator lamp is a part ofalternator exciting circuit; whenthe indicator lamp is burnt, thebattery is not charged!All wires connected with thealternator must be disconnectedwhen repairing tractor by electricarc welding. Protect the wire"+B" against short circuit.

ALTERNATOR MAINTENANCEProtect the alternator against penetration of water or diesel fuel whenwashing and cleaning the tractor!The accumulator must be never disconnected from alternator at operation!The alternator must never run without load i.e. with disconnected wire fromterminal "+B" and connected terminal "+D". When increased engine speed,this state would create excessively high voltage of alternator and suchvoltage would damage the semiconductors of alternator!Never create short circuit of any alternator connector at operation!!The alternator must not be additionally excited. Alternator semiconductorswill be damaged in this case!Keep perfect electrical connections of alternator terminals and perfect alter-nator ground!Reversing of alternator polarity, even for a short time, must not be made!

Basic vertical setting is 3,5 % atshipping weight. Light beams must be parallel with longitudinal tractor axis ofsymmetry in horizontal direction.I - Distance between testing wall and tractor headlight (5 m).h - Height of headlight center above road surface.∆∆∆∆h - Inclination of headlight (-3,5 %) to distance of testing wall = 17,5 cm.αααα - Raising of the picture of asymmetric headlight (15%).

TRACTOR MAINTENANCEMIDDLE OVERHAUL OF TRACTORS Z 6421 - Z 8441This is carried out after 2400 operating hours.Disassemble the compressor case of turbocharger with inlet manifoldfrom the engine.Disassemble the compressor spirals.Remove impurities settled in the compressor case and on the rotor bymeans of a brush with solvent.

Cleaning by means of a sharp subject or wire brush isforbidden!Do not straighten deformed blades!

CHECK OF TURBOCHARGER TIGHTNESS AND BEARINGPLAYSIn case that oil penetrates from bearing case round the shaft and incase that the allowed radial and axial bearing play is exceeded, let theturbocharger repaired in a specialised workshop.Replace the hoses at inlet manifold and at outlet of lubrication oil fromturbocharger when reassembling the turbocharger to the engine.Ensure proper tightness of both connections. Refill the turbochargerwith 0,2 litres of engine oil by means of the turbocharger inlet oilopening, when reassembling the turbocharger to the engine.

Inner preservation of turbocharger must be restored if thetractor is out of operation for a long time!

This will be restored even after short starting of the engine. That’s whywe recommend starting of the turbocharged engine minimum once perthree month at tractor, which is out of operation, and running theengine run for few minutes. The inner preservation restored in thismanner.

LUBRICATION OF PARTS OF HYDRAULIC BRAKES,clutch, brake cylinders, clutch control cylinder and brake pressureequaliser. Coat the sliding surfaces from sealing rings in direction tothe outer dust rings by special grease for hydraulic brakes (for examplePentosin special). In the same time check rubber parts of brakes.

Replace the damaged rubber parts. Replace all rubber parts at least upto five years from the date of the tractor production.

MAJOR OVERHAUL OF TRACTORS Z 6421 - Z 8441Major overhaul of the tractor must be done in case that its fartheroperation is not economical, if many parts need repair and the generaltechnical state of tractor jeopardizes its safe operation.The middle life of engine and transmission is 8000 hours, provided thatall regulations for maintenance are kept according to the technicaldocumentation of producer when working in mild climatic conditionsand in plain terrain.This number of hours is valid, provided that the following tractorworking conditions are taken into consideration:at ploughing and preparation of soil for sowing 15 - 25 %at sowing and planting 10 - 15 %at harvesting 10 - 20 %at agricultural transport 40 - 65 %

If the tractor works in hilly conditions, the life of engine andtransmission is reduced by 15 - 20 %.If the tractor works in worse climatic conditions, the life of engine andtransmission is reduced by 15 - 20 %.Note: Front driving axle is also included in transmissions.

DISASSEMBLING OF SIDE SHIELDRight and left side shields can be re-moved in the following way:− Depress and turn two quick-lockers in

the front part of side shield.− Unlock the side shield by pulling the

rear part of the side shield in directionof the arrow.

− Lift the side shield and remove it fromthe tractor.

CHECK OF ENGINE OIL LEVELCheck oil level daily, before starting ofoperation and at tractor standing inhorizontal position. The engine oildipstick (1) and filling opening (2) aresituated at the engine right-hand side.Screw off the oil dipstick (1), wipe it witha piece of cloth and screw it in. The oillevel must not be under lower dipstickmark after repeated dipstick screwing off.Add oil by means of the filling opening(2), if needed.

REPLACEMENT OF FULL-FLOWFILTER OF ENGINE OILReplace the engine oil cleaner at everyreplacement of engine oil. Beforemounting a new cleaner, clean thesealing surface of the body (2) and thecleaner (1). Coat the rubber sealing bythe same oil, with which you will fill intothe engine and tighten the new cleanerby hand. Tighten again the oil cleaner by3/4 to 1 1/4 turns after seating of thesealing at the block sealing. Check thecleaner for leakage after starting theengine.

ENGINE OIL FILLING UPFill the prescribed quantity of oil into thefilling opening (2), start the engine andlet it run 2 to 3 minutes at 750 to 800r.p.m.Check the oil level by means of dipstick(1) after stopping the engine andstabilized engine oil level. Check the oilcleaner for oil leakage, draining plug andother connections for oil leakage.

CLEANING OF FUEL COARSECLEANERScrew off the nut (1) and remove the fuelcleaner bowel (2) with sealing andstrainer. Clean the bowl and strainer indiesel fuel. Check the correct position ofsealing when reassembling the fuelcleaner bowl, before tightening the nut.Bleed the fuel system.

REPLACEMENT OF FUEL CLEANERCARTRIDGE

Put the suitable vessel under theengine before fuel cleanercartridge replacement, to catchdropping fuel from the cleaner.

Check for the proper bowel sealingposition at reassembly of cleaned bowelwith the new fuel cleaner cartridge.- Release the nut (1)- Screw off the bowel (2)- Clean the bowel and replace the

cleaner cartridge- Check correct seating of the bowel

sealing- Reassemble the bowel- Bleed the fuel system

FUEL SYSTEM BLEEDINGPut the suitable vessel under theengine before bleeding, to catchdropping fuel from the cleanerand from injection pump.Proceed in the following way:

- Prime the fuel system by severalstrokes of the hand priming pump (1).

- Loosen the screw of the fuel cleanerinput fitting (2) and let foam escape.

- Retighten the screw (2) and repeatthe process until the clean foam-freefuel fluently leaks after loosening thescrew.

- Bleed the injection pump in the sameway

- Bleeding is made by means of thescrew (3) located at the injectionpump case

INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAINTENANCEOF DRY AIR CLEANERDry air cleaner maintenance must bedone after indication of clogging byclogging indicator.The indicator is accessible afterremoving of left-hand tractor side shield.The indicator is located at the air cleanerbody near the suction pipe elbow.Clogging is mechanically indicated byred field, which appears directly at theclogging indicator after clogging of aircleaner elements.A Air cleaner is not cloggedB Air cleaner is clogged – perform

RECOVERY OF MAIN FILTERELEMENT− Remove the main dry air filter element.

In case that the main filter element isnot damaged (dust on the inner side ofair filter element must not appear) dorecovery by means of pressure airblowing-through from the inner side ofelement. The main air filter elementcan be regenerated maximally threetimes in such way. The main air filterelement needs to be replaced onceper year.

REPLACEMENT OF SAFETY FILTERELEMENT− Screw off the wing nut securing the

safety element of the air cleaner.− Remove the safety element of the air

cleaner.The safety filter element cannotbe recovered. It must be alwaysreplaced in the following cases:- if the main air filter element is

damaged- after each 5th maintenance of

the air cleaner- minimum once per two years

REASSEMBLING OF FILTERELEMENTSBe careful at the air filter element re-assembly:- Keep the contact surfaces clean.- Air filter elements must not be defor-

med and must not vibrate afterassembly.

- Rubber sealing must be fitted properlyround the entire circumference, theproper tightness of the completecleaner must be assured after reas-sembling of the air filter cover.

RESET OF PROPER FUNCTION OFCLOGGING INTICATOR

After finishing of dry air cleanermaintenance, ensure againcorrect function the cloggingindicator.

A - For mechanical unlocking of the redfield, which serves for signalling ofclogging, push the cap situated atthe indicator body in the arrowdirection.

B - The indicator is again in function.

CHECK OF OIL LEVEL INHYDROSTATIC STEERING TANKCheck oil level daily, before starting ofoperation and at tractor standing inhorizontal position. Remove the left-handside bonnet shield. Screw off thedipstick, wipe it with a piece of cloth andscrew it in. The oil level must not beunder lower dipstick mark after repeateddipstick screwing off. Add oil afterremoving of the tank cap, if needed.

REPLACEMENT OF OIL AND FILTERELEMENT OF HYDROSTATICSTEERING

- Put a suitable vessel under thehydrostatic steering tank

- Screw off the draining screwsituated at the tank bottom part

- Drain oil.- Screw off the tank cap nut.- Remove the cap of the hydrostatic

steering tank.- Remove and replace the filter element.- Reassemble the tank cap.- Secure the cap position with the nut.- Screw in the draining screw.

- Disconnect both hoses fromthe working cylinder and thereturn line pipe from the tank

(put vessels for used oil under the

working cylinder hoses and under thereturn line pipe).

- Start the engine and turn the steeringwheel two or three times into the bothsides at engine idle run (max. 10seconds) to drive oil out of the steeringunit and from the pipes.

- Secure the tractor against movementand lift the front axle.

- Put a vessel for oil under theworking cylinder and by turningthe wheels (by hand) drive oilout of the working cylinder.

- Reassemble all disconnectedconnections.

- Fill the tank with oil and bleed the hyd-rostatic steering circuit.

BLEEDING OF HYDRAULICCIRCUIT OF HYDROSTATICSTEERING− Secure the tractor against movement

and lift the front axle.− Start the engine and let it run for ca 1

minute at idle run.− At engine idle run turn the steering

wheel several times to the bothdirections.

− At engine max. speed turn the steeringwheel three times alternately slowlyand quickly to the both directions up tolimiting wheel stops.

− Stop the engine.− After finishing of bleeding check,

eventually fill up oil level up to thedipstick mark. Check tightness of allconnections and piping of the hydrauliccircuit of hydrostatic steering.

− Lower the front tractor wheels to theground.

During all bleeding operationsobserve oil level in the tank toavoid suction of air into thesteering system.

REPLACEMENT OF HYDROSTATIC STEERING HOSESHydrostatic steering hoses must be replaced after four years from the date ofmanufacturing (the date is marked on hose surface) or after 3 600 hours of tractoroperation, eventually immediately after founding any symptoms of hose damage i.e.hose sweating, local bulging, leakage of oil along the ends and on hose surface,mechanical wear of hose surface up to steel wire cord or damage of yarn braid at lowpressure hoses).

Steeringability is kept even in case of hydrostatic steering pump failure or ifthe engine stops but the steering force on the steering wheel is bigger. It ispossible to drive the tractor to the nearest place for repair at reducedtransportation speed.Don’t keep the steering wheel in the stop steering angle positions (maximumtime is 20 seconds), otherwise oil in the hydrostatic steering circuit isexcessively heated.

COOLANT REPLACEMENTKeep the following instructions:− Open the heating system valve (A) (at

tractors with cab only) and release theradiator overpressure filler cap (B)

− Drain the coolant from the radiator (C).The draining valve is accessible afterremoving of the left-hand side shield.

− Drain the coolant from engine block(D). The draining valve is accessibleafter removing of the right-hand sideshield.

− Close the both draining valves afterdraining of coolant (let the heating sys-tem valve opened)

− Fill the cooling system with antifreezemixture.

− Start the engine and let it run ca 1minute.

− Add antifreeze mixture in theequalizing tank up to the upper mark(marked “MAX”)

− Close the radiator with overpressurecap.

At least after every two years replaceantifreeze mixture with new one.

CLEANING OF HEATING SYSTEMFILTERSAccording to clogging grade, performrecovery the filters that are located underthe protecting grills above the frontwindshield outside the cab, by means of:- knocking-out,or by pressure air blowing through,according to the stage of clogging.− knocking-out− blowing-through by pressure airDaily check for clogging. Replace thestrong clogged filters.

The safety tractor cab is notequipped with special filters of

cab intake air. That’s why the tractors donot protect operator against affects ofaerosols and other health dangerousmediums!

DRAINING OF CONDENSATE FROMAIR TANKDrain the condensed water by inclinationof draining valve by pulling the ring.The valve is located at the bottom part ofthe air tank.

CHECK OF AIR SYSTEM FOR LEAKS− Fill the air tank to the maximum

pressure (730 ± 20 kPa).− The pressure must not drop down by

more than 10 kPa after 10 minutes atstopped engine.

Daily inspect the system for leaksbefore operation with trailer!The indicator light at thedashboard is ”on” when thepressure is dropping under450 ± 30 kPa!

OPERATING PRESSURE OF AIRBRAKESAt single-hose type (1) and double-hosetype (2), the pressure in double-hosecoupling (red cover) is 740 ± 20 kPa andthe pressure in single-hose coupling ismaximum 600 ± 20 kPa (in the time,when the air pressure regulator releasesthe compressor – air blows out).

MAINTENANCE OF AIR-CONDITIONING SYSTEM

The most important part ofmaintaining the air-conditioning

system is cleaning of the air-conditioningcondenser (this is located in front of theengine radiator). The clogged air-conditioning condenser reduces not onlyefficiency of air-conditioning system butalso efficiency of engine cooling.Remove the left-hand bonnet side,loosen the nut (1) and pull out theradiator to the side and blow it out bypressure air or wash it by pressure water(against direction of tractor drive).Then push back the condenser and fix itproperly. Take care for properpositioning of the hoses with regard tothe radiator.

At correct function of air-conditioning itcomes to condensation of air humidity inthe roof space of cab. Condensate isdrained by means of the hoses that aresituated in cab pillars and flows out in thebottom part of the pillar. That’s why it isnecessary to keep hoses clean forproper draining of condensate.

TIRE MAINTENANCE AND ATTENDANCERegularly check the outer surface of tires and verify that tires are without defects inthe side part over the bead and that the cord is not damaged.

Do not use the tires that are damaged.

TIRE INFLATIONBasic values of recommended inflation pressure are mentioned in the chapter “Maintechnical parameters”. Regularly check the inflation pressure before starting ofoperation, when the tires are cold. The tractor air pressure regulator (B) can be usedfor tire inflation. The regulator serves as a pressure equalizer, filling device for tiresand safety valve. Remove the wing nut of regulator (or remove the rubber plug) wheninflating the tire and mount a hose for tire inflating instead of it. Screw in the hose upto the end of thread, so that the non-return valve could be depressed. In case thatthe maximal pressure of 0,6 MPa (or 0,7 MPa at double hose brakes) is in air braketank, the tire cannot be inflated. In this case it is necessary to reduce the pressure byvalve for draining of condensed water, located in the bottom part of air tank (A). Thewing nut (or rubber plug) must be reassembled to the air pressure regulator after tireinflating.

TRACTOR STORAGEWhen the tractor is put out of operationfor a longer period (storage), support thetractor and reduce the tire pressure tominimum (wheels must not touch theground).

Adjust the pressure tothe upper limit of tolerance (22,0 MPa)by means of the shims (1) of variousthickness, which are put under the spring(2). The correct position of injectionnozzle (3) is determined by positioningpins on the sealing surface. Torque offixing nut (4) is 50 - 60 Nm. Beforetightening of the nut, depress the nozzleagainst the spring by pushing the nozzleagainst a wooden surface.

Important:When bleeding the pressure airsystem for trailers and the rearwheel brakes, one pedal (1) must

be always depressed by 7,5+0,5 mm -measured to the main brake valve pistonrod i.e. 3+0,2 mm at the adjusting screw(2) and the second pedal is used forbleeding. For keeping the right distance,insert the flat gauge of correspondingthickness, i.e. 3+0,2 mm, between thepedal (1) and the adjusting screw (2).

Bleed the system in the following way:- Check the brake fluid level in the brake fluid equalising tank. Add missing volume

of brake fluid into the brake fluid tank up to the maximum level.- Remove the plastic plugs of the vent screws of front driving axle brakes (the

screws are located on the upper surfaces of the reducers).- Slide hoses (1) on the vent screws and put the other hose ends at the bottom of a

transparent tank partially filled with brake fluid. Place the reservoir minimally 300mm above the vent screws (2). The vent screws must be permanently underpressure to avoid aerating of brake system through the screw threads.

- Left and right brake is bled simultaneously.- Loosen the vent screws maximum by 1/4 turn.- Depress the fully latched brake pedals to the stop and tighten the vent screws.- Release the brake pedals and repeat procedure, until air bubbles cease escaping

from the hose.- Tighten the vent screws by torque 0,8 - 1,2 Nm (3) after bleeding of the front

driving axle brake system.

simultaneously tighten the screw (5)until the wheel starts to be braked

- Loosen the screw (7) by 5/6 turn,check, if the wheel can turn freely andsecure the screw (7) with the nut (6).

- Adjusting process is the same at theright-hand and left-hand sides.

ADJUSTMENTIf asymmetry of brake effect appearsbetween the left and right brakes, it isnecessary to loosen the adjusting screw(7) of the brake with bigger brake effect,until the brake effects of the right and leftwheels are equal. But the screw can beloosened maximum by 1/2 turn.If asymmetry of brake effect is noteliminated even after such adjusting, thetractor brakes must be adjusted in anauthorized service.

PARKING BRAKE ADJUSTMENT− Set the lever (4), so that the distance

between the bracket (K) and the forkface at the level (4) might be 109 mm(so that the lever (4) might form angle20° with vertical plane)

− Screw the nut (2) to the seatingsurface of the pin (3) without play andwithout pre-stressing – it must notcome to depressing of the arms (5).

− Adjusting process is the same at theright-hand and left-hand tractor sides.

− By means of the nuts (8) adjust theBowden cable of the parking brakelever so that at preservation of angle20° at the lever (4), the parking brakelever could be without play.

− Rise and lower the parking brake lever(1) several times. You will eliminatepossible mutual plays among the partsby this way.

− Check adjustment of the parking brakesystem, in case of necessity re-adjust,and check tightening of all locking nuts(6), (8)

If asymmetry of brake effect of theparking brake appears between the leftand right brakes, it is necessary toloosen the upper adjusting nut (6) of thebrake with bigger brake effect until thebrake effects of the right and left wheelsare equal. But the nut (2) can beloosened maximally by 1,5 turn.If asymmetry of brake effect is noteliminated after such adjusting, thetractor brakes must be adjusted in anauthorized service.

Note: There are adjusting openings inthe tractor cab floor for making easy thebrake.

ADJUSTMENTENGINE TRAVEL CLUTCHADJUSTMENTThe travel clutch is designed in suchmanner that no adjustment is requiredduring the entire service life of clutchplate lining. Full wear of the platebecomes evident by clutch slipping. Allthe three travel clutch levers must be inone plane and must be in touch with theclutch release sleeve. When replacingthe travel clutch plate, adjust the clutchto the following value still atdisassembled tractor. Set the travelclutch levers 25 mm from the recess inthe clutch cover by means of the nuts.The difference in setting of the leverscan be maximum 0,15 mm. Depress theclutch pedal approx. 5 times up to thestop after assembly of the engine withthe transmission.

PLAY ADJUSTMENT OF FRONT WHEEL ROLLER BEARINGS AT TRACTORWITHOUT FRONT DRIVING AXLE

Secure the tractor against movement!

- Lift up and support the front axle.- Screw off the bearing cover (1).- Remove the cotter pin (2) from the slotted nut (3).- Tighten the slotted nut (3) by torque 15 Nm.- Loosen the nut by 180° and release the bearing by knocking with wooden mallet at

the wheel hub.- Retighten the slotted nut (3) with torque wrench by torque 3-5 Nm. It must be

possible to turn the wheel freely without any evident play but without any evidentresistance. (Hub sealing resistance must be taken into consideration)

- Lock the slotted nut with a new cotter pin.- Screw in the bearing cover.

PICK UP HITCH ADJUSTMENT− Raise the hydraulic lifting arms into the

upper – transporting position, whenposition control “P” is selected.

− Screw the telescopic links nuts to theguiding tubes without play.

− Then tighten the nuts by 4,5 turns.− Check if it is possible to lift off the

carrier hooks freely.− By means of repeated lowering and

lifting of the hydraulic arms to thetransporting position make sure thatthe engine is not „getting stopped“ atidle run – the safety valve of hydraulicpump must not be in function.

− Then lower the arms a little.

ADJUSTMENT OF RELEASINGBOWDEN CABLEPick up hitch is in the working position.The Bowden cable must be under suchtension so that the control lever in thecab might be without play. If the Bowdencable has not sufficient tension, adjust itby means of the adjusting screw (1) byscrewing up or down. Lock the adjustingscrew with the lock nut (2) after finishingof adjusting.

ADJUSTMENT OF CONTROL FORCEOF HYDRAULIC INNER CIRCUITLEVERAdjust the friction force of inner hydrauliccircuit lever (1) by tightening of nut (2),so that in any position of the innerhydraulic circuit lever at selected draftcontrol, spontaneous dropping of thelever could not occur.If there is a gap that is smaller than thethickness of two shims between the nutand the safety ring, readjust it for fittingof two shims.
