Application Description

ZEN analyzer ZEN analyzer offers an ‘offline evaluation mode’ for workstationswithout any microscope connected. It consists of the ZEN core func-tionality without any acquisition or modules as well as Job Mode andManage Templates to import/export/edit/run templates. Optionalmodules (except of acquisition modules) can be added for offline pro-cessing.

ZEN Data Explorer ZEN Data Storage Server now includes the ZEN Data Explorer as abrowser or app based client which allows access and viewing of thedata stored on the ZEN Data Storage. General features:

§ Visualization of ZEN data storage content

§ Image browser to view and annotate image

§ App on smartphones and tablets (iOS and Android)

ZEN Data StorageUploader

ZEN Data Storage Uploader is offered as a background service to loadCZI images of a certain folder into the ZEN Data Storage Server.

2 New Modules

Module Description

APEER (on-site) The new module APEER (on-site) allows to integrate and executeAPEER modules locally and directly integrated into ZEN coreworkflows. Those custom modules can greatly enhance the ZENcore functionality by adding additional image and data process-ing functionality.

General features:

§ The APEER modules must be downloaded first to execute it lo-cally inside ZEN core.

§ APEER (on-site) Basic allows to download and execute demomodules (only) in side ZEN core and is included in the basicpackage of ZEN core v3.0, ZEN analyzer v3.0 and ZEN coreSEM v3.0

§ APEER (on-site) Advanced allows to use public and privatemodules of the inside ZEN core in Free mode as well as in Jobmode

Connect Replaces the ZEN core module / ZEN starter module Connect Advanced.

New features:

§ New shortcut to align the current system

§ New workbench ZEN Connect Video Renderer

§ Support of custom Shuttle & Find holder

Documents areain Free mode

Improvements:

§ All documents displayed in gallery appear with default docu-ment name and counter and can be renamed.

§ Document name displayed in data zone and shown as defaultfor all output workbenches (Save File, Report, Browse Results).

§ Multi-selection offered for Save As with option to keep respective file name or save document with identical prefixand automatic counter.

§ Tiles images saved as JPG will be down sampled as default.

§ 'Save Tiles' offered in Save File dialog saves individual tiles.

Browse Job Results New features:

§ 'Title' and 'File Name' replaced by 'Name' for searching andmanaging results

§ Multi-selection for result documents and for Export

Form templates User items can be added to the dropdown list.

Drag and Drop Images can be dropped directly into the central area of the Free mode.

Job mode An image can be added to a workbench equivalent to the ‘Add acomment here… ‘ field for guiding the operator (in edit mode).

Categories New category 'Custom Solution' with new workbenches:

§ APEER Workflow (online) (formerly APEER Connector)

§ APEER Modules (on-site)

§ OAD Macros (formerly in category Utilities)

Data Zone 'Title' and 'File Name' replaced by 'Name'.

Online Help New help system: ZEISS Help Viewer.

APEER (on-site) Basic The new module APEER (on-site) Basics offers to download andexecute demo modules of the APEER platform locally. It is included in the base package of ZEN core, ZEN analyzer andZEN core SEM.

ZEN starter Functionality of ZEN starter module Connect Entry (discontin-ued) now incorporated in the base package of ZEN starter.

OAD (Open ApplicationDevelopment)

OAD examples (Job templates with OAD macros) and an installa-tion instruction are available on the DVD 83 in the followingfolder: Other/OAD examples. The OAD examples can be run without thelicense for the module Macro Environment.

Module Image Analysis New features in Image Analysis Wizard:

§ Interactive execution of all steps (incl. 'Classes' and 'Features')allowing to analyze images on-the-fly via 'Analyze Interactive'

Module IMS Client The module IMS Client has been discontinued.

ModuleCast Iron Analysis

The standard DIN EN ISO 945-1: 2008 + Cor. 1:2010 has beenupdated to DIN EN ISO 945-2019.

Module Multiphase Analysis

Intellesis is integrated into the module. Both modules need to belicensed for pre-defined demo workflow and full functionality access.
