What is the theme for prom? There will be no theme this year; its title will be Junior/Senior Prom 2011.We believe the theme is not the memorable part of the dance, and there is no reason to stress over it. Although there is no theme we have colors, which will be Gold Black and Red. When do tickets go on sale, and where can I purchase them, and what is the price? Tickets will be available Tuesday March 22th, with Mrs. Brown in the counseling office. Ticket prices will start at $50 per person, and $100 for couples. The week before prom the ticket prices will go up to $60 per person and $120 per couple, so get your tickets soon! PROM 2011 F.A.Q Remember when you were a young kid and the best part about Easter was the egg hunt and the rush of joy you got while trying to find the most eggs? Well the Zebra Tales team wants everyone to reminisce the good old times. Our giant school wide egg hunt will take place the week before spring break start- ing Monday, April 4th through Friday, April 8th. Plastic eggs will be hidden all around cam- pus with the Zebra Tales logo on them throughout the week. They could be hidden anywhere, like in the cafeteria, office, or even on the football field. To make the search more interesting players are able to win great prizes. Not all players will have a prize, but the player who collects the most eggs found will receive a big prize. The egg everyone wants to find though is the huge golden egg that will earn you the grand prize. The prizes will be located in room 1 where you must turn in your eggs. This egg hunt is also totally free and anyone can participate with no hassle. By: Vanessa Andre Staff Reporter The item you seek is round like me, sitting somewhere in the sea. If you want it, you have to be thinking beyond what your eye can see. Look out for our PRINT issue, coming out April 8th! 17 goals-for, zero against. Yes, that is the score for the undefeated Lincoln Lady Zebras Junior Varsity soccer team! The team has had back-to-back wins for the season so far, including a seven to zero win against Marysville, a four to zero win against Golden Sierra, and a six to zero win against Sac- ramento. The game scores show how amazing the offensive line is, but also shows how protective the defensive line is by shutting out multiple teams. At the girls’ most recent game against the Sacramento High School Drag- ons, the Lady Zebras demolished them with a win of 6 to 0. This game had one goal Alexandria Kent (14’), one goal from Alyssa Gallagngher (14’), one goal from Riley Sims (’14), one goal from Nina Maldonado (13’), and two goals from Gabby Eslinger(13’). The Defense also had a great game by shut- ting down the opponents. Sarah McDaniel, teammate said, “I don’t even think they had a shot on us, our defense is really good.” With a phenomenal offense and a protective defense, this team is looking at a very successful season this year. I encourage all students to come out and support this exciting soccer team. JV Girls Soccer, For the Win By: Nina Maldonado Staff Reporter

  • Looking for a twist on a normal Christian club? Wanting to have an impact on the community? Check out the 03 Christian club! The 3 0s are out, overboard, and overflow, because they like to get out and do activi-ties to try to make a difference. When asked what this overpowering club is all about, Stephen Hay stated an on-campus outreach thats not focused inward, but on the other students. Every other week they try to make an impact on the students or their fellow colleagues, by performing eye-catch-ing activities during lunch. Their first activity involved covering one of their members in post-it notes and walking around campus talking to different groups of people, when people asked about the post-it notes, the club mem-bers explained that its a visual of how many people are labeled, but you cant see what theyre like underneath unless you get to know them. This isnt mean to be a regular bible study Christian club where they just sit down and study the bible, then leave for the week, not thinking anything about it until the next meeting; its about getting out there and really trying to have an impact on the world around them. If this sounds like something you would like to get involved with, they meet every Thursday at lunch in Miss Sipkovichs room, Room 39.

In lunch at Lincoln High School there is a place where people can go eat. Its the Corner Express they sale Noodles and chicken, sandwiches, and salads. Every day the lunch line is full of hungry people. The food that they sale always runs out cause people at Lincoln High School always say that its so good. Dawn Koleff the cafeteria leader said we have the corner express because we want students to have different op-tions of food and its the same price as a regular lunch. They are located at the corner of the cafeteria everyday at lunch. So go and check it out.

Some people think that bake sales are okay to do at school for fundrais- ers but their wrong. Bake sales are not al- lowed on school cam-pus. What are some of the reasons you think? The poor muffins being laced with drugs? Maybe the brownies being a little to special, maybe obesity on campus? No its none of the above! I talked to Ms. Eutsey, Assistant Principal, and she stated Its so the sales dont interfere with the cafeterias sales. I had even asked her if the thought of the other reasons ever came to mind and

she said that your parents would have signed a paper at the begin-ning of the year if

Have you ever wondered about other cultures? Broad-en your cultural knowledge by joining the American Desi Club. The American Desi Club was founded two years ago by Rohan Dosanjh and Gulshan Singh, graduates of Lincoln High School. They made this club in order to help people obtain a better understanding of the Desi culture. The word Desi doesnt just mean Indian, it refers to all the people and cultures of South Asia. The officers of the 2011 Desi Club are President Joty Rattu, Vice President Moomie Singh, Secre-tary Manisha Sharma, and Treasurer Yujin Kim. The club is planning on taking some field trips which will include the Nagarkirtan, which is a religious parade where there is free food as well as purchasable Indian effects. The club also plans to participate in Culture Day at LHS which will be in May. Manisha Sharma says, The Club isnt just for Desis. Its for anyone who is interested in the Desi culture. Im glad that I can help share my culture with other people. If you are interested in joining, the meetings are during fifth period stripes in room 12.
