Leroy Buttles has been promoted to a foreman

with Zayachek! Leroy was a machine shop fore-

man for 12 years at Haanen Packare Machinery

and was responsible for research and develop-

ment, blueprints, welding and removal, repair and

installation of a variety of paper making and con-

verting machinery. His resume includes time as a

hydraulic specialist, production manager and ma-

chinist at Finch, Irving and SCEA. He has past ex-

perience with Wheelabrator plants and is rigging

certified. Please join us in congratulating Leroy on

his promotion!

Another set of exciting promotions has been re-

ceived by Brad Zeyak and Joe Bizon. These super-

intendents are now holding the title of Project Man-

ager/Superintendent and are utilizing their keen

bidding, estimating and planning skills to bring our

company to a new level of influence in the field.

We are proud of the effort these employees have

put forth and we marvel at how far we’ve come

over the past 9 years.

to effectively complete

this job. There were

many obstacles including,

welding rust, heights,

structural instability, cold

temperatures, wind and a

tight schedule for comple-

tion. Thank you for doing the job safely and

timely without incident. You are appreciated!

We’d like to take a mo-

ment to take notice of

the employees who

worked the Bristol

scrubber job in March.

This job was particularly

challenging and we rec-

ognize the level of stick-

to-itiveness and organi-

zation that was needed

BRISTOL SCRUBBER

WELCOME MIKE BAKER

Back in March we brought Mike

Baker on as a Planner/ Foreman for

Zayachek. This is a new position and

we are very excited about the op-

portunities it will bring to the com-

pany. Mike came to us from JLM

where he was supervising industrial

maintenance as well as working in

sales and estimates. He has an ex-

tensive background in sales with

Voith Paper as well as Stowe Wood-

ward and is already bringing his ex-

pertise to us through preparing and

delivering quotes and proposals to

paper mills we are not currently con-

tracting with in order to acquire new

business. Welcome aboard, Mike!

8 Tips for Trailer Safety

Whether you're a new-

bie trying out your travel

trailer or 5th wheel for

the first time or a sea-

soned (or seasonal) vet-

eran who tends to forget

those lessons learned, I

think you'll find some

nuggets of wisdom here.

1) All gas stations are

not trailer friendly. Just

because you can

squeeze in doesn't mean

you can squeeze out.

Gas station owners take

great pains in placing

with a brother-in-law,

he will proclaim himself

the "campfire expert."

This will certainly in-

volve a gas can. Keep

the kids at a safe dis-

tance. Preferably, an-

other state.

4) If you have full-

hookups, upon arrival

immediately inspect

your neighbor's black

water valve. If it is in

the open position,

kindly inform the

rookie that full-hookups

does not equate a free

flowing sewage system.

you, invite him for a

place his chair directly

downwind of his faux

sage.

5) There will be a 30 de-

gree difference in tem-

perature between Satur-

day and Monday. This

is a scientific law, not a

theory. Every holiday!

Yes, Canadians, it's also

30 degrees for you, be-

cause you're in Canada.

And it's cold. Or hot.

the park entrance will

stretch out to Labor Day.

Be patient and remem-

ber the sixteen year-old

6) RV parks and state

campgrounds advertise

the campsite length ac-

cording to your trailer

length. They assume you

will be towing the trailer

by hand and are in no

need of a place for the

vehicle. You will be

forced to park on the

road. Always leave

someone in the campsite

who can reach the gas

pedals so that you

can move the vehicle

for the people around

you who are trying

to park their trailers.

On top of what you will learn at safety training we also ask different vendors

to attend that can offer you a little extra. These vendors will have tables set

up for you to talk to them. So far this year we’ve lined up benefits providers

including NYLife who can answer your questions on life insurance and 401

(k), CDPHP and Guardian who can answer your questions on medical and

dental insurance and Aflac who can answer your questions about disability,

accident and cancer insurances. You will have the opportunity to sign up for

coverage with these agents on site if you meet eligibility requirements.

We’ve also invited Citizen’s Bank who can talk to you about banking and

you’ll have the opportunity to open an account and set up direct deposit if

interested.

This year Dival will be joining us with various tools and safety equipment

that you’ll have the opportunity to purchase. We will also be taking orders

for Welding hoods from ACDC Custom Welding Apparel. Their flame retar-

dant treated hoodies with custom embroidery are available at $45 each. We

will accept cash or check for those purchases.
