Volunteer OpportunitiesSummer Camp Junior Counselors The Junior Counselors Program is a volunteer opportunity for high school students, ages 14 to 19, interested in helping create amazing theatre experiences with preschool and elementary age children during our summer camps.

Participants learn the ins-and-outs of a professional theatre training program while helping students create original stories, characters, and design elements. Each week, junior counselors will be assigned to a group of campers, and assist the classroom teacher with rehearsals and production.

Junior Counselors receive up to 40 service hours per week of volunteering.

Visit zachtheatre.org/about/volunteer or email Kate Shaw-Nappi at [email protected] for more information.

“ZACH camp was such a great experience. Whether my child

ends up on a stage or not, the theatre skills gained –

improvisation, timing, and performing in front of others –

are terrific life skills too. The final showcase was as much

about seeing the talented staff, community and children

at work, than about any particular skill mastered. I didn't realize what a great

gem we have in ZACH.”ZACH Parent

The College Bound Conservatory (CBC) is a multi-year program for students in grades 9 -12 with a serious desire to pursue a career in the performing arts.

Each year, conservatory members receive two semesters of an exclusive acting class taught by professional actors and directors, a semester-long elective of their choice, and master class opportunities ranging from film to stage combat, to talk backs with ZACH’s professional actors.

In addition to individualized career and college counseling, members are also guaranteed one performance opportunity each year to build their resume. During the fourth year, students focus on preparing for a ZACH organized trip to college auditions, and in the spring, organize a showcase of their work to share with friends, family, and industry professionals.

Auditions will be held at ZACH:

Sunday, August 14 • 2 - 4 p.m. Monday, August 15 • 6 - 7 p.m.

For information or to schedule an audition, visit zachtheatre.org or call 512-476-0594 x236.

Pre-Professional Company (PPC) is an ensemble of ZACH’s most dedicated up-and-coming performers seeking professional training. PPC challenges students to improve technique, gain confidence, and grow as performing artists. Members receive master classes from broadway guest artists, and have performance opportunities at ZACH and other community events. PPC is an excellent program for college and career prep. Students are divided into companies based on ability.

Fall semester: Students meet once a week for technique classes: vocal master class, acting, and dance.

Spring semester: Students continue technique work while learning material for the PPC musical showcase. The PPC showcase highlights students’ performance abilities and skills gained during the year.

Both CBC and PPC programs are by audition only. See the class schedule on page 3.

Audition information: zachtheatre.org/education
