Panther series was added to the Z-Tags range in 2007. With hundreds of tag variations available, Z-Tags Directors decided to create a single range that could handle any requirement.CEO David Gillam explains, “...There are literally hundreds of poorly designed tags available in every corner of the world. Users often begin with a second rate design and are understandably reluctant to change. Any change to the label layout means a programming change.Some of these tags only work with certain printers, others are wasteful or don't offer any durability. Everyone seems totally confused about what to use and even how to order.We set about designing a range from the ground up. Every possible size variation together with the ability to work with any standard thermal transfer printer. How to use Z-Tags Panther Tags

Peel the tag by lifting the tail and pulling against the perforation.Our Polyester is so tough that we use a very strong perforation to break the tag memory. Once attached these tags are the toughest possible solution.

Thread the tail through or around the item.Once threaded, attach the tip of the tail at least 2mm BEFORE the perforation line. This ensures that the tail does not fold back on itself.

Fold the heads and squeeze together firmly…It is important that the initial bond is strong. Applying strong pressure to the two heads ensures that air does not penetrate the heads.

Durability matters

Our chemically reactive clear top coat is the difference! So, why are Z-Tags so good? Our reactive top coat gives you super durability. With Z-Tags you don't just lay ink on the tag surface. Our top coat reacts with the ink giving you the highest durability tag possible. It's a little known fact that chemicals from the skin are the biggest cause of print failure. Wash testing gives you a good example of how the tag will react to such chemicals. With Z-Tags you get up to 6 hours ultra-sonic wash time which means high resistance to chemicals. If you want to compare our tags, put one in your ultra-sonic wash with an opposition brand and leave it on. You'll quickly see that Z-Tags quality is far superior.

The Cheetah series have been used for many years and includes shapes such as round head tags and other specialized tags.If you’re looking for a tail tag style, we strongly suggest the newly designed Panther tags which are equiva-lent in quality but substantially less expensive. However, if you need a specialized tag, such as tags for writing instruments, the Cheetah series offer incomparable quality over other brands.

Z-TAGS About Bar codesOverviewDo you need bar codes?

Maybe not. Z-Tags main use is to supply the highest quality print. If your tags look dirty and old, it doesn’t create the best impression. So remember, even though all Z-Tags can use bar codes, you can use plain text too.

What is a bar code? Don't get confused, bar codes are not complex. Think of a bar code as a picture of a number. You can scan the bar code or enter the number on your keyboard, the result is the same.

So, why would you need bar codes?Bar codes offer three basic functions, speed, accuracy, and a number that can be used by a P.C.

- Of course, aside from supermarkets, bar code speed is only really useful for inventory counts.- Accuracy is the main function of the bar code. What kind of bar code do you need?Don't worry about all those complicated names. There are two basic types of bar codes you may need.

- International codes are unique to your Company and numbers are allocated to you by a third party. These codes are typically used by people who supply to department stores. Your unique number works in any store around the world. For USA this is usually a code called UPC, while most other countries use EAN.

- It’s likely you just need a code that works in your own store, or group of stores. In this case, we recommend a code called “code 128”. It’s small enough and versatile enough for any application.
