Annual Banquet
Chamber Ambassadors and staff helped Yantie Love cut the ribbon on her new location for Yantie’s Barber Shop at 219 S. Ave. A. Yantie is a certified Master Barber and operates an old-fashioned friendly shop with no appointment necessary.
Ambassadors helped cut the ribbon on the remodel of the Holiday Inn Express. Manager Chri-sula Webb and her staff prepared a big reception to introduce the changes that had been made. All the rooms were updated as well as the lobby and breakfast area, which is open, light and inviting. The property, located on West U.S. 70 is owned by Ambience Hospitality.
Dr. Peter Thompson, DDS was named Business of the Month by the Chamber. Dr. Thompson, along with his staff and new dentist Matthew Pacheco. Offer a wide range of dental services and are known regionally as trusted, professional and for employing the latest techniques. The offices are located at Second and S. Ave. A.
Jimmy Park was named Volunteer of the Month for January. Park pulls the Little Miss Merry Christmas contestant float each year with his pickup and this year he went all-out decorating the pickup as well. Jimmy and his wife Mandi also help with parade lineup at Heritage Days along with a variety of other volunteer work. Thanks for your commitment to the Chamber!
The winners of the Lighted Christmas Parade got their awards at the Chamber’s Christmas Open House. DFA won the Business Category, Portales Church of God was the win-ner in the Church Category and Relay for Life of Roosevelt County won the Non-profit/Individual category.
C&S, Inc. received the President’s Award as Business of the Year at the Annual Banquet Jan. 10. Accepting the award was Mike Stratton, Alys-sa Idsinga, April Rutter and Victor Ramirez. New President Patsy Jimenez presents outgoing Presi-dent Noelle Bartl with the Past-President’s award. For more check the Chamber Facebook page.
