Student Mobilization Centre of Youth With A Mission (YWAM-SMC) Vision: Advancing a Student Missions Movement to Engage Every Sphere of Society Mission: Empowering Life-Work Mission YWAM Values: Know God & make Him known, hear His voice, visionary, champion young people, international & interdenominational, relationship-oriented, value the individual, dependence on God, & hospitality. Calling and History “make every eort to confirm your calling and election.” (2 Pe. 1:10 NIV) 1987 During extended time of prayer & fasting, received call to mobilize workers for spheres of society. Wrote vision for student mobilization with YWAM. Surprise appointment to Kona, HI. Challenged by YWAM Founder, Loren Cunningham, to start a UofN international centre. 1996 Established 501(c)(3) in Virginia. Installed as member of UofN International Leadership Team & commissioned SMC International Committee in KOREA. 2004 Pioneered centre’s 12-week training school in INDIA. 2013 Created & tested Converge prototype. Received $28,000 grant from United Service Foundation for software development & marketing strategy. Moved to Ocean City, NJ. The Ministry Model Ministry Success Indicators and Expansion Goals In the past 3 years, we have established a ministry presence in Ocean City, NJ, completed MVP software for Converge platform, and trained 8 students in our first 6-month intensive Discipleship Training School. We will contact 20,000 people annually through organic growth leveraging YWAM’s global network at 1000 operating locations in 160 countries. Recruit 75 hosts for 150 internship opportunities by the end of 2017 & scale to 300 participants annually. Build an organization with active local board and add seven new staby Dec. 2017. Begin capital campaign for facilities in 2019. However, those rapid changes in technology and demographics present an urgent need to develop young leaders. 75% of Millennials say employers are not focused enough on helping to improve society and only 37% say their education gave them the skills they need to make a dierence. To respond to this challenge, we have developed Converge, a searchable registry of internship opportunities, a missional learning course, and a social fundraising platform to equip emerging leaders. Two key distinctions of Converge are 1) Mentorship Model, and the 2) Unique Final Project. Prayer Strategy • Intercession & Worship are core values of YWAM. The Discipleship Training School requires at least 6

hours community worship and intercession weekly with journal of decisions and answered prayers.

Ministry Funding Plan · Board: MUST be 100% participation in personal giving and networking to raise 11% of budget,

particularly through introductions & events.· Fees: Tuition and services will constitute 35% of our budget. · Major Donors (Over $3,000): Constitutes 58% of our budget, mostly through staff support raising. · CEO: Will invest at least 25% of his time developing donor relationships.

Results to Date

• Past interns have helped start businesses and plant churches, installed water pumps, established therapy routines for orphanages, performed research in clinics, developed nutritional plans for hospices, and created curricula for schools.

• To date, we have coordinated 75 internships (300+ students from over 100 universities to over 35 countries). Dozens of these young men and women are now leading in their fields with missional focus.

Ministry Current Needs · $30,000 to hire part-time software engineer to support Converge platform. · $12,000 to continue to provide scholarships for students from majority world. · Three local board members to enlarge program development, increase partnerships, and scale for

growth internationally.· $12,000 housing for short term volunteers and interns. ($2000/month)
