Nine years ago the Lord blessed us with a 3-storyapartment building in Rogers Park, one of Chica-gos most ethnically diverse neighborhoods. This

has served to house staff and thousands of out-reach participants over the years. The third floor

apartment also facilitates short-term immigranthousing for those who we come in contact withneeding housing assistance. Over the years wehave had men from over a dozen nations livingwith us such as: Turkey, Kurdistan, Iran, Paki-stan, India, Afghanistan, Morocco, and Senegal. Many of these men have come to us as Mus-lims or other Religions. It has been a joy to bringthem into our Christian Community and share

the tangible love of Christ. Some have acceptedthe Lord after staying with us. The Lord has also

brought some from Muslim backgrounds whohave become Christians and are able to helpus in witnessing and discipling those whom Godbrings our way. These people are called MBBsor Muslim Background Believers. Recently anMBB bible study has begun to meet bi-weeklyon the 3rd floor, being led by an MBB living with

us, Najah from Morocco. Please pray for himand those whom the Lord brings to him. Taking

immigrants into our home and community hasbecome the most effective way for us to reachMuslims in our city. There are currently four men

staying with us. Please pray for Najah, that Godwould continue to lead him in relationships withpeople to love and minister to.

Here are some prayer needs that Najah has expressedconcerning the Muslim ministry and MBB Bible Studies.

Goals for the MBB Bible Studies

Focus on issues that MBBs struggle with such as: Feelingsof lonliness, not fitting in with American Churches, shame,

and lack of fellowship Study topics that are relevant, such as: explaining to Mus-lims the Doctrine of The Trinity, Diety of Christ, death of

Christ, etc. These topics can be barriers in Muslim ministry.

Encourage and Build up each other in ChristSeek ways to advance the Kingdom of God among our ownpeople in Chicagoland.

    Prayer Requests

Prayer that God continues to work in the lives of MBBsand through them to others. Pray that God continues to strengthen and guide themthrough the Holy Spirit as they serve Him. Pray that the MBB Bible studies will continue to be ablessing and great training to all who come. Pray that Arab and Muslim peoples in Chicgao will seeChrist in those who have become Christians that they maycome to Christ as well.
