Here are some of the responses:• I haven’t had to scrape a windshield of

ice in 23 years. I love living in Yuma, the people make it an awesome place to be.

• The weather is great. The people are wonderful.

• I am a huge fan of small local communities. Although we have grown leaps and bounds over the last couple of years, there are still enough long time residents here to remind us that we are all neighbors of someone else and should treat each other as we would wish to be treated. I look forward to serving my community in whatever my day brings. This is truly a great place to live.

• People who want to live somewhere else other that Yuma, Arizona, it is your loss. Yuma is a place to enjoy, raise a family and rest.

• I have lived my entire life. I have raised my children here. I have grand-children here. Roots and community are important to us. People here care about each other. It’s home.

• I tell people that I live in Yuma because of the all the farm land and how much I love driving to work and seeing what is growing. If I lived somewhere else I would truly miss going out to the desert on the weekends and the river to catch a look at all the wildlife and enjoying the quietness. My best experience here is closeness that is brought by the residents of Yuma. I am not a native of Yuma but I am sure accepted as if I were. I met my husband here! I love Yuma!

• No snow!! Sunshine!!• The best weather in the world. Love the

sun shine, caring people, and the sense of mutual well being generated by

most everyone you meet. Yuma has so many sincere warm loving people will a common goal of making Yuma even better with every breath.

• This is a great little city with all the services and amenities of a larger city. When you want the big city fix, you only have to travel to Phoenix or San Diego to get it. When you are through with the traffic and chaos, you can come home. The weather is easy to get along with most of the time and so are the people.

• Yuma is the best of all worlds. Just 1 hour to the mountains, 2½ hours to the ocean, minutes from the desert, right on the Colorado River, 8miles to Mexico, just 1 block from California. Beside all this where else could you wear a jacket in the morning during the winter, and lay by the pool by noon. Best experience is being on Prison Hill at sunset and having a train going by. It takes you back in time.
