Young Singers Academy empowers young people through the art of singing. We offer boutique group voice classes and private/duet voice lessons to kids and teens, grades K-12. Our goal is to nurture confident voices for life. We are seeking the following positions for immediate and future hire: YSA TEACHING ASSISTANTS - IMMEDIATE HIRE (PART TIME) Job Description: - Wednesdays 3:00-4:30pm in Greenwich Village (and possibly Mon, Tue, Thu 3:00-4:30pm) - Work with small groups on music theory and listening skills - Assist Voice Teacher as needed in keeping students engaged and on task - Preparation, instruction and management of materials - Adhere to Young Singers Academy Approach and attend ongoing YSA Professional Development Requirements: - Love of children; Previous experience working with children preferred - Reliable, upbeat, creative personality who can take direction well and anticipate needs - High-level verbal and written communication skills. - Current Music Education or Voice student preferred - Computer and tablet proficient YSA ADMINISTRATION & SOCIAL MEDIA DIRECTOR - IMMEDIATE HIRE (PART TIME) Job Description: - Offer strategies, support and implementation of social media presence - Registration and e-mail support - Prepare and manage instruction materials Requirements: - Reliable, creative, solution-oriented person with upbeat attitude - Previous PR / Social Media experience with Instagram, Facebook, MailChimp - Ability to work efficiently and independently - High-level verbal and written communication skills. - Music background is helpful YSA VOICE TEACHERS - FUTURE HIRE (PART TIME) Job Description: - Available on weekdays 3-7pm &/or weekends (must be able to commit to a consistent agreed-upon weekly schedule) - Basic classroom and management duties, including parent relations. - Preparation, instruction and management of materials - Adhere to Young Singers Academy Approach - Attend ongoing YSA Professional Development Requirements: - Love of children and ability to see and hear potential in each individual - Enthusiastic lifelong learner excited to blend YSA Approach with her/his own personal style and strengths - Bachelor degree in Voice; Kodály training preferred. - Previous experience working with children. - Reliable, upbeat, creative personality who can take direction well and anticipate needs - High-level verbal and written communication skills. - Computer and tablet proficient Interested parties should forward a cover letter and resume to: vielka@youngsingersacademy.org
