Youth Provincial

Championships Bid Package

BC Soccer is currently accepting bids for the hosting of Provincial Championships in all

categories for 2019.

The goal of BC Soccer is to have the highest quality event possible for the teams involved, and

to provide an opportunity to promote soccer in local communities. Successful applicants will be

selected based on their ability to achieve these goals.

This document provides information regarding the bid process, the competitions for which bids

can be submitted, roles and responsibilities chart, planning timelines, minimum hosting

requirements, a sample hosting agreement, as well as a hosting application form and an

Economic Impact Assessment is being developed for inclusion as well.

British Columbia Soccer Association will accept bids from the following member

organizations:

• Youth Districts

• Youth Clubs

• Tourism Organizations with support of local Youth District, Club, or Adult League

Application process:

After reviewing this document, interested bidders should also review the BC Soccer Hosting

Standards and Guidelines and then complete the attached hosting application form and submit

it, along with a letter of support from the Chair/President of the host club and/or

district/league, promotional material about the host city, and photographs of the proposed

venues, to:

*The finals involve 20 teams, but more teams are involved in the rounds leading up to the finals.

Total number of teams depends on the number of challengers from lower levels. A host is only

required for the Finals. Hosting bids for this event should come from a BCSPL franchise.

**Please note BC Soccer’s Competition Rules and Regulations 9 b). This new rule mandates that

all teams that qualify for the Provincial Championships, and reside at least 100km from the host

location, must stay in the Host Hotel. Hosts are required to ensure adequate rooms are

available. The numbers in this chart are approximate and actuals depend on the host location,

and where teams qualify from.
