Your new company:

Spartan Doors has recently grown from a local, specialised manufacturer to now supplying commercial, industrial and residential construction projects across the entire eastern seaboard. Our new, larger manufacturing facility was opened in September 2015 and our growth has seen this new and important role created.

You will be working in a fully catered workshop environment as part of an operations team fabricating custom industrial and commercial steel door & frame products.

Once you complete your apprenticeship your job will entail:

Fabrication of steel doors, steel frames/jambs, custom pipe and truss

Interpreting engineering drawings

Setup and operation of brake press, guillotine, CNC equipment

Use of Butt-Welding, as well as power tools including saws, grinders, polishers etc.

Writing SWMS and leading by example with OHS standards.

To be successful in this role you will need the following technical levels:

The successful applicant will be punctual and reliable, pay particular attention to quality and cleanliness, be willing to learn and apply new techniques, systems and materials, and above all, be a team player. In turn, we will provide everything needed for a successful apprenticeship and career.

1st Year Engineering Apprentice - Pool Manufacturing HunterNet is seeking a dedicated candidate to join a pool manufacturing company in Tomago. The successful candidate will be working for a long standing and reputable business who pride themselves on innovation, technology and design in manufacturing swimming pools to meet their client’s needs. You will complete the Certificate III in Engineering – Composite Trades over four years while gaining on the job experience. Apprentice Duties will include but are not limited to:

Inspect the outside of the pool shell for any imperfections

Prepare surfaces for further work, e.g spraying

Gelcoat, spray and laminate on moulds

Trim, sand, buff pool edges

Identify areas on a pool for repair and complete repairs to the standard required, following the procedure provided

Read and interpret plans

Build custom attachments, plugs and moulds to meet specifications

Joining, sealing, bolting components

Installing flanges

Other aspects of finished pool projects, including construction/building work with other composite materials

Following all WHS requirements Essential Criteria:

Mature applicants

Exceptional attention to detail

Ability to read and comprehend QC checklists and act according to the procedure

Ability to keep workstation clean always, and prepare surfaces according to a strict procedure

Hand tool skills

Understanding of WHS and safety procedures
