#1 – Be True to Yourself• You must follow your heart and your dreams, not

the dreams someone else has for you. • This may mean making a radical change in your

life, or simply making small adjustments. • The key to continually examining your life is to

make sure you are following your own true path.

worth living.

• If you don't reflect on your life and values, and instead are merely "going through the motions," then there's an important sense in which your life is not even really yours.

• Experiences happen to you, for better or worse, and may trigger a reaction.

• However, you are no more than a cog in the machine of the universe until you stop and question your own drives and actions.

• Then, you need to reshape your character into a mold of your own devising, and thereby craft a life that makes sense to you as you live it.

An old Navajo grandfather told his grandson that there is sometimes inside of him a fight between two wolves. One is evil – full of anger, envy, sorrow, greed, regret, and arrogance. The other is good – full of joy, serenity, love, hope, humility, and empathy. The grandson thought awhile and asked his grandfather which wolf wins the fight.
