Assalamualikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh:

uslimah 4ever Youth Fest in short MFYF has established itself as a trademark

for Youth Competitions especially for the girls. It is a much awaited annual event

that marks the calendar of International Schools. Alhamdulillah, over the years

500+ students from over twenty five International Schools have participated in various events,

pitching their minds and talents with other Muslim girls. Each year, we do our best to improve

the way we do competitions at MFYF, and we’re pleased to have been able to make some

significant progress this year.

This Year: We have increased the competitions to cater to a more diverse age group; we have

also included a new event for all age groups. Detailed below are some major changes, in MFYF

2013

1) The age group of competing students has to be calculated as of April 1st, 2013

2) The events will now be held on two consecutive days(Thursday & Friday) compared to

two consecutive weekends before

3) Two new events have been added to the Fest;

Qiraa’ah – A Quran Recitation event with fixed portions for all age groups the focus

being on Recitation and not Memorization

Presentations – Social Media and Dawah now go hand in hand. Talks are no longer

just verbal speech rather the focus is now on visual aids for an enhanced

understanding of the subject. To teach our girls the best methods to prepare for such

occasions, the event ‘Presentations’ was conceived. An in-school activity wherein the

presentations are to be prepared and sent from School, the top scoring teams will then

present live, for the final rankings

This booklet contains all the competition rules and judging ballots you’ll need to compete in.

Come along and join us for a fabulous time, as we learn, compete and share under the beautiful

banner of Muslim Sisterhood. We look forward to seeing you

there. Come.Dare.Win

‘Quran – the Ultimate Miracle’

All praise belongs to Allah, we praise Him, and we seek His forgiveness. Whosoever Allah

guides then there is none who can misguide him and whosoever Allah leaves astray there is none

who can guide him.

Al Quran, the main source of the Islamic faith, is a book believed by Muslims, to be of

completely Divine origin. We also believe that it contains guidance for all mankind, and as

Muslims we know this life to be a test for the Hereafter, and you as students know very well that

while giving the worldly tests the first thing we do is that we cover the syllabus for the test.

However, when giving the test of our life we fail to cover the syllabus for the test, and that

syllabus is the Noble Quran.

Allah says in the Quran:

“(This is) a Book (the Quran) which we have sent down to you full of blessings that they may

ponder over its Verses, and that men of understanding may remember. (Surah Sad: 29)”

Yet, such are the times that we have relegated the Quran to merely an annual read in Ramadan, a

book to be kept high on shelves, a ritualistic reading once in your lifetime before adulthood; or

for some as a book to memorize like a parrot, without knowing its meaning or fearing its

admonitions.

Thus, this theme is an effort to create awareness about the true intent of this sacred book and

reaffirm its place in our lives as a Guide and recognize its status as the Ultimate Miracle.

Allah (SWT) mentions in the Quran, “And we have certainly made the Quran easy for

remembrance, so is there any who will remember?”

(Surah Al-Qamar: 40)
