PLEASE DO NOT TREAT PLAY DAZE AS A DAYCARE. All parentsare expected to drop their children off at the designated time,not early, and to pick them up promptly at the end of the day.Ensure that for a full day program you pack a snack, lunch andbeverage for your child. On days where lunch is provided for yourchild if there are any allergies please provide an alternate lunch.
DRESS YOUR CHILDREN APPROPRIATELY FOR THE WEATHER.Always send a jacket and pants. Please label your child’sclothing. Staffs are unable to apply sunscreen or bug sprayunless you provide your own due to allergies.
ALL MEDICATIONS MUST BE CLEARLY LABELED ANDINSTRUCTIONS FOR ADMINISTERING MUST BE PROVIDEDDIRECTLY TO STAFF. This is the responsibility of the parent notthe child.
If you feel it is necessary to send money on field trips, it will bethe responsibility of the child, not the staff. Children and staff willwalk from the school locations to all in town field trips andactivities.
ONLY REGISTERED CHILDREN WILL BE ALLOWED TO ATTENDTHE PROGRAM. A completed registration form is required. Thisis done at the Town of Stony Plain Office. No onsite registrationswill be accepted. A cancellation policy is in effect. Please seeregistration forms for more details.

SUMMER PROGRAMMING isdesigned just for kids. Children havethe opportunity to enjoy a variety ofactivities, crafts and field trips. No two
weeks will ever bethe same withthe abundance of
themes, such as Goin’Green and TotalDrama. Play Dazebegins weekdays at9 am and wraps upat 3 pm. Before-Care and After-Care is available.Registration is on a
weekly basis and everyone is welcome toattend all summer long!

Sieve through the dirt,searching for all kinds of unusual bugs and creepy crawlies.Explore the fascinating outdoors on a nature walk through theDevonian Botanic Gardens. Design your own insect and,together with your group, create a unique spider web. Cool offby spending an afternoon at the Stony Plain OutdoorSwimming Pool!

Goin’ Green July 19 - 23Reduce. Reuse. Recycle. Put waste to good use, as you designand create sculptures out of recycled material.Wear green eachday to celebrate the environment. Capture the mystery, as youplant magical seeds inside a tin can that you will decorate witha nature theme. Jump aboard the bus destined for the TELUSWorld of Science in Edmonton, where you will discover thescientific world around you. Come explore the beauty of naturethis week, and learn about how you can protect theenvironment.
Polynesian Party July 26 - 30What is summer without a Beach Party? This week, join the funat our Polynesian Party! There will be exciting beach games,such as musical beach chairs, Frisbee and many more. Buildyour own sand castle and try the limbo contest. Create yourown sock-to-pus or other under-the-sea creature.Wrap up yoursummer beach blast by splashing and swimming at the St.Albert Spay Park. Come join the party!
Out and About! August 3 - 5Hope on board the exploration bus! The bus will transport kidsto several destinations this week. First stop: Galaxyland at WestEdmonton Mall, where screaming, riding and unbeatable fun isguaranteed. The next day, it’s off to the World Wide Water Park,again at West Edmonton Mall. The waterslides and wave andswimming pools are sure to be a splash! On Thursday, travelback in time to Fort Edmonton Park to explore early fur tradeand pioneer life. We will send you out on a fun scavenger huntand a day packed with adventure. $40 Per Day Trip.

Then come explore a silly, wittyand wild week with us, as we play a host of crazy games, such asCapture the Flag, Minute to Win It and many more funactivities. Create and design your own pet rock to take home.Finish the week by experiencing a fantastic thrillby rushing down the cool and speedywaterslides at Wild Waters. This is aweek you don’twant to miss!
Hansel and Gretel, The Three Little Pigsand The Big Bad Witch! August 16 - 20Once upon a time, children attended a week-long summercamp where they listened to music and played loads of funactivities and games. The kids made up their own fairytaleplays and presented them to their friends. They baked anddecorated gingerbread cookies, dressing them in theirfavourite fairytale outfits. The fun didn’t end there; the kidsalso embarked on a scavenger hunt and played an excitinggame of seek-and-paint. Best of all, this story is not a fairytale; it’s a true story about an unforgettable week of fun,which you can take part in this summer.
Total Drama August 23 - 27thLet the show begin! This week, you can show off your actingskills by creating and performing your own plays and designinga stage set that complements your show. Enjoy the laughter, andshow the world your talent, in our improv games and theatresports. Your theatre career will continue at the UkrainianHeritage Village in Edmonton, where you will dress up and actlike a pioneer. This week, you will also bedazzle your friends
and family with your own creative sock puppet.Celebrate your performances with a dip in theStony Plain Outdoor Pool on Friday afternoon.
Let’s go find a dinosaur! Spend a night with us in Drumheller – thedinosaur capital of the world! Uncover ancient mysteries, billions ofyears in the making, at the Royal Tyrrell Museum. This amazingmuseum is nestled in the heart of Alberta’s badlands, which we willexplore on go-carts. We will also climb the ancient Hoodoos. Wrap upyour jam-packed week of fun with a visit to Reptile World - home tomore than 100 species of live reptiles and amphibians, including a boaconstrictor and a 600-pound alligator – and a walk across the historicRosedale Suspension Bridge.
