Art Encounter 2011
The Youth Arts Encounter this year was attended by 40 young people from all around Ireland. The aim was to explore the theme of Volunteering and Active Citizenship in a local and global context while questioning the ideas around the feeling to Belong using theatre, film, multi-media, visual arts and music. The young people met with local and national government representatives and stake-holders active in related fields. Together they explored how they can participate in the building of a positive future.
The creative outcomes will be exhibited and presented to the public during the Globalfest main event on July 16th at Bishop Lucey Park, Grand Parade, Cork, as well as online through our blog and various other social media platforms.
This document presents the outcomes of the panel discussion on the issue of Youth Arts Parcipation.
