Dog friendly beaches
Aldeburgh – there is a mile of dog-‐friendly beach just to the North of Aldeburgh. It is signposted well, and goes from the Wentworth Hotel to Thorpeness.
Dunwich – Dunwich makes a great dog friendly locaUon with lots of long walks and fresh water on offer. Not only is it the NaUonal Trust site of Dunwich Heath (which does have occasional restricUons), but a beach as well which is dog friendly all year round.
Southwold – Southwold is one of Suffolk’s most famous beaches. The main beaches of Southwold have pet restricUons during the summer months, however Southwold Benes is dog-‐friendly throughout the year. This is just north of the main beach. The sandy beach to the South of Southwold is pet friendly all year round too.
Walberswick – this is completely dog friendly all year round with no pet restricUons in place. This coastal village is home to many celebriUes and has the yearly Crabbing Championship in August.
Although there are restricEons in the summer on some beaches, from October to April there are no dog restricEons on Suffolk’s beaches. Here are some of the beaches in Suffolk that you can bring your dog to.
