Fairmont Scottsdale Princess has a longstanding commitment to cleanliness and safety for our employees and guests. We continue this commitment during the public health crisis.

The following health and safety measures implemented within our hotel represent best practices for the hotel industry, in accordance with CDC guidelines, during the re-opening phase of the economy. It is anticipated that our guidelines and protocols will evolve based on the recommendations of public health authorities but we will always be in compliance with any federal, state and local laws.

It isn’t business as usual, the Covid-19 pandemic has required us to raise these already demanding standards to an even higher level. We have swiftly responded with new service and safety protocols designed to provide peace of mind and a safe environment for all. We have, and will continue to utilize, expert resources including infectious disease health officials, leading sanitization experts and our own Accor and Fairmont leadership in developing these new standards, to assure we provide our guests and colleagues with the same care we would a member of our own family. PUBLIC SPACESWe have increased our staffing of public area attendants to support increased frequency of cleaning surfaces with recommended cleaning agents, with particular focus on high touch, high traffic areas. Social distancing is encouraged with appropriate signage and floor decals to assist in guiding guests to engage in best practices for the protection of themselves and others.

GUEST ROOMSOur highly respected housekeeping team at the Princess will go beyond the five diamond standards of room preparation, deep cleaning surfaces with disinfectant cleaners recommended by scientific experts to kill bacteria and viruses. The room door will be sealed following cleaning so that you know it’s fresh and ready for you when you arrive. We’ll also have a new amenity, a package of disinfectant wipes waiting for you in the room to give you more control and confidence with your contact of surfaces throughout your stay.

DININGOur restaurant seating has been re-designed to incorporate plenty of space for social distancing. We’ve increased frequency of cleaning and disinfecting, added the use of masks by our staff and new menu presentation protocols. We have also introduced new service processes to reduce contact with food and service equipment. We are committed to provide you with dining experience you can enjoy with confidence.

SALON & SPAOur salon and spa services have been reimagined to allow for social distancing between customers, with appointment times staggered for reduced potential of contact between guests. We’ve increased our already high standards and frequency of cleaning and disinfecting, added the use of masks by our staff and are providing guests personal disinfectant wipe and hand sanitizer. Of course, we will continue as always to launder linens and wipe down tables, chairs and equipment between each guest use.

GUEST COMMUNICATION & GENERAL PROTOCOLSGuests will see a “Stay Well’ signage and digital communication campaign visible throughout the property encouraging guests to practice social distancing, wash their hands and use hand sanitizer after touching surfaces will be visible throughout the resort. Hand sanitizer stations will be available to guests in all high traffic public areas and floor decals will be placed guiding guests to social distance in any areas where a line may form (check-in, restaurant and spa entrances, etc.).

COLLEAGUE TRAINING & SAFETYOur employees will each receive a safety orientation for their particular roles, with guidance and reminders to: Stay home if not well, Wash hands repeatedly and thoroughly, wear masks while at work and follow all safety protocols for their particular responsibilities and guest interactions. It’s important to us that both our guests and our Colleagues are safe and well.

MEETINGS & EVENTSOur meetings and event team will collaborate with planners to reimagine their meetings with new meeting sets, food service protocols and entertainment/team building options that enable social distancing and reduce the number of guests touching surfaces and equipment. Of course, heightened cleanliness standards will be in place within our meeting space and our staff will be cleaning areas more frequently during meeting sessions and event breaks. Our staff will be provided the appropriate personal protective equipment, such as masks to keep your attendees and our colleagues safe.
