Here’s a cornerstone belief from Ron and Lois Zehr; “Every experience we have is either an advantage or disadvantage depending on how we process it.” Some might look at Ron and say his success was handed to him. After all, he was born into a family that came to embrace network marketing, and also pioneered nutritional products. On top of that, he’s articulate, passionate, and together with Lois, seems to go from success to success.
You see, Ron’s father, Dr. Albert Zehr, was the creator of several natural products and supplements, the most notable being the Colo-Vada Plus® cleanse. He distributed these through PureLife of Canada, until RBC Life acquired that company and products in 1992.
So, Ron had a “front row seat” to the power of nutrition to improve the body and network marketing to provide financial freedom. His father became a legend in the industry and as Ron describes it, “He was first and foremost a servant of people, always enriching and giving to others. Nutrition was a second or third career for him as he approached everything he did with the goal to empower others.”
With all this background, you would have thought Ron was “destined” to become a great networker right from the start. However, it took time for the industry to “get into” him. And it took time for him to grow into the industry.
As a young man, Ron was so self-conscious that he found it almost impossible to smile at people, let alone look them in the eye and engage them in conversation. Determined to change, he spent long hours practicing in front of a mirror – smiling, then stretching out
his hand and introducing himself, then talking about current events – slowly becoming more comfortable in his own skin and with the sound of his own voice.
After graduating from college with a degree in marketing, Ron bounced not just from job to job, but from career to career, five of them in five years.
Of these times, Ron says, “Life experience prepares us for what’s in front of us right now.” What remained constantly in front of Ron was his desire to help other people, a trait ingrained in him from his earliest days of doing youth work and mission trips. Unfortunately, his career experience never quite satisfied this longing.
This feeling of dissatisfaction and frustration was only compounded after adding the responsibility of marriage. Lois had a great job. Her long hours and hard work paid off with rapid promotion and increasing income until the day her boss informed her, “You’re making too much money, more than me. We’re changing your contract, cutting your wages.”
Lois and Ron shared a commitment to help others, but they began to feel that, “The only way we would make the money we wanted was to be a slave to the corporate world.” They started looking elsewhere for the vehicle that would allow them the money and opportunity to make a real difference in the world.
Along the way, they both began to focus more intensely on personal development. One poignant experience came to Ron while attending a Zig Ziglar / Brian Tracy conference in 1990.
“I felt like Zig was talking just to me when he revealed that who you are comes out of how you see yourself.” Ron recalls. “He said that we first have to be, then do and finally have. It dawned on me that to achieve what I had never achieved before, I had to become what I had never been before.” At this point, Ron started seeing himself differently, which caused him to then act accordingly. This defining moment led him back to the industry he had grown up in.

“I had seen individuals have success because of their charisma; others because of their flowery promises and skillful maneuvering.” Ron says. “I was determined to identify and copy the skills and practices of those who created duplicatable success throughout their teams.”
Not content to offer “pills for ailments,” Ron stressed better health elevating life and lifestyle … with an enhanced lifestyle elevating health. “They co-elevate one another. In the end, we market life enhancement.”
The opportunities came and their business grew. Within eight short years, they were able to “retire” at a very early age with the residual income in place to make a powerful impact through mission trips and other philanthropic efforts.
Four years ago, Ron and Lois realized that that there was new opportunity with RBC Life. They determined to develop themselves to become more so that they could do more and achieve more by helping others do the same. They want others to experience what they have and beyond.
“By developing the right skills, habits and mindset,” Ron says, “Success really is achievable.”
“Do the right things right and the right things enough and you will get the results,” Lois explains.
To provide a framework for this, Ron developed a powerful training program for everyone in RBC Life: to Bronze and Beyond! “It provides the ‘what-to’ and the ‘how-to’ along with an accountability component that empowers and develops leaders,” Ron declares.
“It’s providing a roadmap for anyone to follow to get them to the coveted rank of Bronze Director.” Conducted every Thursday night via webinar, Ron has already seen several members of his team reach Bronze and is looking forward to celebrating their success with them in November during the 2014 Leadership Retreat in Mexico!
According to Ron and Lois, the biggest hurdle we face is in not understanding that success really is up to the person we see in the mirror. Their advice; “Stop looking for solutions outside of yourself. Sometimes we are just waiting to find that one person that will rocket our business to the heights of success instead of working to BECOME and DEVELOP those kind of people in our existing groups.”
Now, there’s no stopping Ron and Lois. “Both Lois and I feel so honored to be part of the RBC Life team. Some of our best friends, relationships, and experiences have come from our associations here … powerful and meaningful. What we do with RBC Life is making a difference around the world. Our next goal is to do more than we ever thought possible!”

RBC Life Opens INDONESIAOur global expansion continues with the opening of our brand new offices in Jakarta, Indonesia. Office staff is trained, product is on hand, and the official opening was celebrated with a June 25th open house attended by over 120 people. Even the local magistrate was on hand to cut the ribbon!
This new office has been established to support a growing market of Indonesian Associates, as well as other teams from around the region. This will act as the central hub for shipping product, supporting customers, and even training Associates in the new “RBC Way” for greater success in this massively expanding market. RBC Life Volleyball Team Takes Silver
Teamwork, strategy, and RBC Life’s Products Make it Happen!
They’re at it again! This past May, our sponsored volleyball crew, Team RBC Life, took the Silver medal in their most recentcompetition at the U.S. Amateur Volleyball Nationals. This powerful lineup of players, ranging in age from 50-60, constantly demonstrates that age is no factor in serious competition.
The team, made up of doctors, engineers, and other professionals, are not only sponsored by RBC Life, but are dedicated product users. Before, during, and after each game, they fuel up with such products as Protivity, Microhydrin® and Triple FX®.
RBC Life started its sponsorship of the team in 2010 for the Huntsman Senior Games. After winning there, they went on to see success at U.S. Nationals and even international competitions. Competing in at least two major tournaments each year, they continue to produce outstanding results.
