THERMAL SAFETY SOCKS
YOUR LAST LINE OF DEFENCE
Flame-resistant daily work wear socks for industrial workers.
THERMAL SAFETY SOCKS
Born as flame-resistant daily workwear socks for industrial workers, the Charnaud Thermal Socks® have many unique characteristics that also make them highly sought after in sport and leisure environments.
• Feet can easily sweat up to 250 ml per day, leading to fatigue, bad odour, bacterial infections and possible dermatitis. The socks are highly absorbent, wicking moisture away and keeping your feet exceptionally dry.
• Special fibers neutralize toxins in sweat that cause bad odour. Tests have shown that Charnaud Thermal Socks® can be worn for more than 14 days without washing, provided they are aired overnight!
• The cushioned foot bed absorbs the shock of walking on hard unforgiving surfaces and insulates from shock, heat and cold.
• The double layer of the shank (covering the opening between the shoe and bottom hem of the trousers) offer more protection against heat or cold and foreign objects.
• Each sock is build around an elastomeric cage, “hugging” the foot and ankle with equal pressure at any point. This reduces swollen feet without affecting blood flow.
• Being flame and molten-metal resistant, the sock also protects against molten-metal splash, heat and flames.
• Made from super-soft 100% natural fibres.
HAZARD ASSESSMENT
Extreme temperatures, sweaty feet, chaffing footwear, hard surfaces, flames, molten-metal splash.
APPLICATIONS
Domestic: Thermal socks, hiking, day wear, sport.Industrial: Workwear socks for furnaces, welding, electric arc flash, manufacturing plants, fire fighting, and refrigeration plants.
INTERNATIONAL STANDARD
Charnaud Thermal Socks® comply with the relevant international standards:EN ISO11612:2008 A, B3, C1, D1; EN ISO 14116:2008 (3/5H/40) and 0339
Ask those who have discovered the Charnaud Thermal socks®…
“I was ordered to test these socks to destruction….in a span of 14 months they have seen the worst this planet has to offer. I wore them when parachuting, in the cold, when kayaking down rivers, when running in soaring heat. They just never see failed me”.(Jess van Zyl – Combat Survival Specialist, South African Air Force)
“We encountered a blizzard at 4000 metres and the tempera-ture plummeted to around -20ºC with wind chill and, whilst I contracted mild frost-bite on my face, my feet were exceptionally warm, thanks to your remarkable socks”.(Phillip R Wyllie – MD Bax Global, Mountaineer)
