KITCHEN REMODEL TIMELINE
Time frame from countertop template to
install depends on vendor
chosen & time of year. After installed, complete
backsplash, final plumbing & electrical.
This is when paint touch-ups are completed,
remaining debris is
removed, and your kitchen is deep cleaned.
Installation depends on
scope of work, number of cabinets &
existing wall materials in the
home.
Most flooring (tile,
nail down, glue down, vinyl)
can be installed before
cabinets. All floating floors should be done after cabinets.
TWO DAYS
After sheetrock it's time to mud,
sand, texture, prime & paint
your walls. Minor touch-ups will need to be
done after cabinets and
countertops are installed.
This is the time to open walls for
rough electrical &
plumbing work. Sheetrock is last.
Disassembly
Timing depends on who
you choose to complete the
disassembly of your existing
kitchen. Hiring a professional often ensures
your old kitchen is gone
in one day!
