5 A 175A breaker dedicated to the subpanel is required to leverage all of dcbel’s functionalities at full power at the same time. A 125A breaker dedicated to the subpanel can be installed, but note that the speed of EV charging may be limited during periods of peak home load consumption.

Other possible wiring designs may be proposed by SHIPs based on homeowners needs. Additional protective devices may be required in order to adhere to local regulations. dcbel™ offers its own PV Rapid Shutdown (PVRSS) and DC Optimizer devices (sold separately).
