Lindemann, founding director of the Charles E. Burchfield Center at BuffaloState, when the bank was razed in 1968. The sculptures were moved again in

2001, when they were incorporated into the redesign of Moot Hall.

While our faculty members are well known for their research and

professional practice in their fields, classroom teaching remains

their top priority. Not all universities can say that. At Buffalo State,

you’ll be taught by teachers, not teaching assistants.

2. You’ll Be Immersed in a Diverse and Creative Environment.

We’ve been called SUNY’s flagship for diversity. Our students

come from all backgrounds and walks of life—and they bring a

creative edge that gives our campus a unique vibe. If you’re

looking for a campus where everyone doesn’t look and think

exactly like you, you’ll love Buffalo State!

research, study abroad, intern at top companies, and volunteer to

make a difference in the community. No need to wait at Buffalo

State! You can take advantage of these opportunities right away

and set yourself on the path to career success.

4. You’ll Be Inspired by Our Location in Buffalo’s Cultural

Corridor. View Picassos, van Goghs, and Warhols across the street

at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery. Jog around beautiful Hoyt Lake in

Delaware Park. Dine and shop in the trendy Elmwood Village. Take

a short Metro ride to a Sabres hockey game. There’s nothing like

the excitement of city living—and Buffalo State is in the perfect

location to enjoy all that New York’s second-largest city has to offer.

A Learning Community at Buffalo State is a group of students who

study a common theme and combine their academic work with residence

hall living. Each Learning Community has dedicated residence hall space

that includes a lounge, kitchen, computer lab, and office. Commuter

students have access to the residence hall during certain hours and can

consider it a “home away from home.” Learning Communities are open to

all students who want to get the most out of the Buffalo State experience.

Buffalo State’s Resident Dining Hall in the Campbell Student

The Retail Food Court is designed as a market featuring dining

Around campus, we offer unique, quick-serve food and beverage

options in various college buildings. And Bengal Bucks (Buffalo
